Sorry about the quality guys, this is the best we could do with a camera phone.
The woman on the far right of the 3rd pic is who Luther came with.

Oh yeah Mario Elie dropped by too, but he left early with his wife.

Thanks for sharing the info and pictures paki. I am anxious to hear any news about Chuck signing and Luther staying.

I think because they are young (and cheap) and did well last year it makes sense to keep both of them to see how they do this year in the new system. Technically for both of them this will be their third year in the NBA and I have been told that can be the breakout season for some players.

Denniscd is right, people have horrible memories about how both Chuck and Luther contributed during the season. Neither will ever be superstars but they have both shown that they can do well as rotational role players.

So you reduce and get rid of a young player like Luther because of one game or series. Because one bad series (his first playoff series) means that he's a loss cause and the Rockets would be better off reducing his minutes. That's smart and logical.

I'd definitely want to keep Head unless trading him would help us to get someone like Camby.

Oh boy. What's smart and logical is picking up other players that can help us more than Luther: Mike James, Steve Francis, (possibly) Aaron Brooks and Fatzi Wells if his head is screwed on straight. If Tracy starts at SG, there won't be much playing time left for him. Plus our offense will change into something I feel doesn't play to Luther's one strength as well as JVG's did.

Where did I say Luther was a lost cause due to the playoff series? Why not also accuse me of saying Tracy is a lost cause because I was more disappointed in him than Luther? I wouldn't dump Luther for a trade exception but if the right offer came I'd say bye bye. I betcha he doesn't last the season.

i never loved luther head or his passing ability. he should be shooting the ball, but instead he's turning it over with his stupid passes. He was exposed during the playoffs...People may have loved him, but it all went away when he was exposed to the one trick pony that he is. I love when luther head is wide open for three just like everyone else, but once he puts the ball on the ground and throws stupid passes...that love goes right out the window

Glad to hear that Hayes is coming back, you need energy guys like that on your team. Hayes kinda reminds me of a poor mans Dennis Rodman.

Once they unload Alston somewhere the rotation will be something like this: (Adelman has used an alternating 10 rotation before contradicting several posts I've seen lately BTW)

    First Unit:

    PG Steve Francis
    SG Tracy McGrady
    SF Shane Battier
    PF Luis Scola
    C Yao Ming

    Second Unit:

    PG Mike James
SG Luther Head (for outside shooting and scoring)/Kirk Snyder (for slashing/size/rebounding)
    SF Bonzi Wells
    PF Chuck Hayes
C Dikembe Mutombo (defense & rebounding)/Jackie Butler (for offense)

Right now Head can definitely get playing time but if he thinks it will be what he got his first 2 years he's dreaming. Looking at all defensive stats last year both Snyder and Head were horrible defenders, so if Head got better defensively he could sew up that 2nd string spot at SG. Problem is because he's a 6-3 185 SG he probably can't improve the D. But Snyder has to work on shooting and D.

So I'd say right now Head is looking at about 20-22 minutes max without injuries. There's no way he can get the same minutes he got before if the team's healthy with that kind of depth.

I think Luther will really thrive in Adelman's system. Luther Head has a lot of potential and is someone I would keep if I was the Rox.

ultimatepaki, you just made your fame in China. :)

Obviously some sina reporter wrote an article based on this thread and it's currently the headline in their sports section, with your id mentioned:

u don't need to understand Chinese, just search "ultimatepaki"

I second that opinion. She was the prettiest woman there in my opinion.

Searching her name on google brought up a couple of University of Illinois hits so you probably are right. Does anyone know if they were an item in college?

Wow man I would have never thought that could have happened. I just wanted to pass on some Rockets news because I had not heard of any updates recently. What exactly did the article say? Seems pretty long, especially if it's only based upon the short paragraph that I wrote.

All I know is that she is doing modeling and that they're good friends. I don't know if they ever dated or anything.
