I honestly tend to disagree. If anything this will give Courtney Lee more minutes. It'd be nice if Adelman would find room to play him, but let's call it what it is: Adelman's wants to win now. If he wasn't playing TWill previously because he didn't feel he grasped the system -- why would that change? Yeah, there's more minutes available because Shane is gone...but I just get the feeling it won't matter much.
Whenever Brooks or Courtney Lee missed a game, TWill was not put into the rotation. I'm not sure he gets in now that one member of the rotation is out permanently. The Rockets cannot continue to play this many guys.
Adelman will play: PG - Lowry, Dragic SG - Martin, Lee SF - Budinger PF - Scola, Patterson C - Hayes, Miller/Hill That's our 9-man rotation. Williams and Thabeet are 10th and 11th on the depth chart.
if twill doesn't sniff the rotation after this, adelman should be fired immediately. this team is going nowhere and at minimum needs to see if twill can back up his loud talk on the court.
If someone named JHILLMVP thinks a player is good enough to see the court, then who are we to disagree?
That rotantion would make sense if we were still playing for the playoffs. Now with Thabeet, Williams, Patterson, Budinger, Hill and Dragic, we're playing for DEVELOPMENT. A nice portion of Chuck, Scola and Martin's minutes will get cut IMO. Plus we don't want to risk knocking the Sun's out of the playoff, don't want to knock down the mid-first round pick into a late 1st rounder! We're gonna need it to move up in the draft!! Playing to develop our talent, won't translate to victories this season, but it those give us something to build on for next season and after.
Fairly certain he means that Hill and Patterson can substitute for each other if the other struggles, but that both won't play on a consistent basis.
TWill was friends with Brooks. He wanted to play with him. I can't wait for his "I'm disgusted" tweet.
