Betcha if we are up two in the 9th there will be defensive subs for abreu at first and meyers in center next time. I don’t have patience for a manager to learn from his mistakes. I want a manager that doesn’t make as many mistakes
It wasn't the 9th that the implosion occurred though, it was the 8th inning today. At least Dubon did something productive offensively, maybe he can take Abreu's spot at 1b, can't be any worse.
It's very unfortunate for Espada...he came at a time when the Astros are no longer manager-proof. They need someone that knows what he's doing to help put the team in the best position to win.
Bagwell started last year during a fill in broadcast then Dana parroted it as recently as last week. Now the manager.
Glad I could provide some amusement. I'll tell my Andruw Jones story at some point. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with my aunt. She's much more entertaining than myself Great website. Glad I signed up here
The fact that he went with the “back of the baseball card” company line to the media did it for me. that was a bullshit thing to say at this point. It’s not even his line. It’s not even an original thought. Nobody’s buying that trash anymore.
Then the Astros should be targeting every retired HOF. ****, we got 4 working in our organization right now. Since, you know, the back of the baseball card and all.
This is a good point. He's not even getting the benefit of the doubt after a win now. Probably because he has made a LOT of questionable decisions so far, and very few of them have paid off. It's going to take a while for him to undo that bad first impression.
