Behad's full court extravaganza, followed by bbq. Game 2, the younguns said "everybody over 30, vs everybody under 30." I was done and needed a break, my 1st game full court after blowout knee rehab, It went really well, but yet again, they say "get out here"? Bad Idea Jeans. Us older people got smoked...I remember Larry (Rockets2K) saying "gimme the ball in the right corner 3pt line"...so I did...he impersonated Kareem's skyhook from there...nothing but net. It was the highlight of that game.
Has anyone heard from @Behad or @codell? Edit: Glad to see @Behad was online a day ago. @codell last over a year ago. They both used to be active in the game chats. Larry sadly lost his grandchild some years ago. I never met him in person, but in the earlier years, we sent quite a few messages back and forth. I had tried to reach out in recent years, but hadn't heard back. It is a reminder that we are all getting older, and that I should argue less online, be more civilized and more forgiving. Basically, what Larry told all of us many times over the years.
Such a sad day to lost a very valuable member of the clutchfans community, his torrents were amazing, I visited the chat regularly and he was always helping with something. RIP, Prayers to his family
That's a great memory and I'm sorry I never met Rockets2K in person or made it to any of those Clutchfans bball games.
I've been wondering for awhile what happened to @jiggfly, @RayRay10, and if it was ever confirmed that @CometsWin had passed away? All of them used to post a lot and haven't been heard in awhile.
That was an all-timer of a day. Hearing the news yesterday was like a gut punch. RIP Larry, you were a great guy.
Thought of you when I saw this thread given your text yesterday, obviously. I’m so sorry to hear this news. RIP
Does anyone know the details? ATW how did you find out? He lived in Baytown where I grew up, always meant to go say hello DD
Larry had stories. You knew they were not bullshit stories but totally legit from back in the 70's or whenever.
Shocked and saddened by this news. Larry was a legend and just a great person. He will be missed. Clutchfans some kind of way to commemorate him.
