this. I’m okay with the BPA philosophy on drafting, but I’m not okay with no plan to develop your 1st round picks or recoup their value in some sort of deal to consolidate. Christopher showed nothing but upside last year. By any stretch he was considered one of our better prospects. Now he can’t get in the game (even though he may be our best defensive guard)? Right now we are actually hurting his development. It makes no sense. Trade him or play him. Don’t do this.
JC is being punished because the Rockets are obsessed with forcing SGs to play like facilitator PGs. Dude should be molded like a JR Smith or Crawford.
This is a good move imo, get his mojo back in the valley then slide into the rotation when EG is moved.
JC hasn’t been very good overall. He had some flashes this year but he seems like the odd man out. Again…. We had 4 rookies from 2021 draft. We ain’t keeping them all.
Good, I was again seeing issues with this guy on the court yesterday, and that was when the game was still up for grabs. Just dribble, dribble, dribble. At least Nix passes from time to time. Though it's like others have said, he needs to get minutes over Mathews. And I guess he's not showing enough, plus I could see us showcasing Mathews and Silas has been shown to be loyal to players who've proven themselves. Cannot hate on that too much.
I would be more positive about Nix if he could stay in shape. Like put the ****ing burgers down and start eating like a professional or gtfo my team. That guy has gained weight since he got on the team. No desire, not a professional - will never be anything in this league on another team.
I think Nix has good basketball sense, even though he does dumb shet sometimes, he's no worse than KPJ and Green at understanding and reading the defense. My problem with him is that all his problems come from him being too fat to be a pro athlete. -he can't get by anyone because he's fat -he can't elevate and finish at the rim at all because he's fat -he can't run back on defense because he's fat -despite being so big, he doesn't even draw fouls like Lowry, and he can't make free throws anyway The only things he brings to the table is spot up shooting, and some point guard abilities. But most of the time he can't get passes off because he's too slow to be an actual threat to draw in defense. I feel like until he loses all that weight, there's no point having him
“Continues to develop…”????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????)??
Well, I still think Christopher is a ligit NBA player. I thought his stat line looked pretty good last year, and if he could improve his three point shooting he would be a solid player. I’m glad he's going to RGV to get some playing time.
I'm predicting that Christopher is gonna average like 20 something points, couple rebounds, couple assists while he's down at RGV for a couple games and is gonna be called right back up to sit on the bench again.
If we don’t play guards like Tyty and JC, why we draft them? Wasting our 1st round picks? We even can’t get one by trading Gordon... Trash Nix getting all playing time tells our FO is ****ing stupid.
W Would interrupt the tank. The most pragmatic solution is ignored on purpose. Unless our FO is that clueless. I'm sure it's worse that any speculation.
