Russ isn't going anywhere. We just need more talent to compete with the Lakers and the Clippers. I wish Sergio Llull would come over the MLE but I don't know. I would love a starting lineup with him, Russ, Harden, PJ, and RoCo, bringing Gordon, House, and Green off the bench.
Russ and Harden need to develop the mid range. This 3s and drives stuff isn't going to cut it when the teams know how to take it away. This team had the most success when CP3 was automatic from 10 feet. He literally won us the Utah series and won us Game 5 vs the Warriors that way. My goodness. I will not watch another season of law of averages 3 ball.
Without getting into the 'they'll never move him' stuff or all the other discussions, just putting some fun trade ideas out there, there's only the Kings I can come up with who may be interested. The Cavs and Knicks might want him but they have absolutely nothing to offer. What about Hield, Barnes and Holmes and #12? Hield and Barnes may even be shifting towards negative assets with their contracts, although I'm sure many still value Heild and are just aware he plays for a terrible coach. Hield shot 43% from 3 on 8 shots per game last year. Imagine that next to Harden, with a Capela lite on a cheap contract in Holmes.
Russ and Harden are big and strong for guards. I would like to see them post up and draw double teams down there for kick outs to the 3pt line.
I understand the frustrations with Russ. But watching the game last night, he is perhaps the only player who gave it his all every minute he was on the floor. Even down by 20 he was defending hard, grabbing boards, etc. Harden from the jump was lethargic and disinterested, and Rivers, Green, et al. had moments where they didn't close out hard, box out, or hustle as much as they should have.
It's like they were told to make it look interesting but at the same time to back off. Fixed game is fixed. Just awful to watch.
Yep. Literally anything but this dumb ****. Its one of the following: 1) Drive in, defense collapses, try to draw foul. No whistle. 2) Drive in, defense collapses, retreat, broken play, chuck up bad 3. 3) Drive in, defense collapses, pass in traffic, turnover.
I think we are getting love don’t want to but I think it’s happening. Gordon and maybe house and fillers for Love Love and Westbrook our close and I think he’s close with Harden also. Hope I’m wrong and I’ve been wanting love here but that was like 2 years ago. He just turned 32
James Harden traded to Golden State for the 2nd Pick. The Rockets really need to rebuild at this point. James Harden can easily win a Championship. As long as LeBron, Kawhi,Curry, Giannis are running the League. The Rockets and James, Daryl Morey will never win
Harden in Miami with John wall training at the remy workouts/runs. Like I said in this thread if Washington is dumb enough, trade westbrick for wall and instantly get better
I'd consider: 1) rus, ego to the suns for rubio, oubre, 10th. assuming a $109M cap the suns should have exactly ego's contract in cap space (if they renounce some low level guys). so this is actually 2 trades. first is to fit ego into their cap space. second is to take on 25% more than rubio+oubre's contracts which fits rus' salary. 2) PJ, house, Clemons, 10th for turner. making it a 3 team deal, I think Indiana comes away with a good haul for turner. 2 rotation pieces for short term and a lotto pick. plus we would be about $21M under the projected LT. we could use the full MLE, or the large TE's generated with the suns ($10M from the rus trade, $17M from the gordon trade) to add bench depth. we could, for example use the MLE on Marcus Morris to add extra scoring, and throw the bulls a pair of second rounders for satoransky to add extra ball handling and passing. hat gives us a lineup of: turner roco - Morris oubre - nwaba harden - Mclemore rubio - satoranky
he hasn’t played since Christmas 2018 and has 3 years left on his deal at $38-$47 million per year. how is he easily the better choice? We have no idea what he’ll look like on the court...???
