Montgomery County numbers climb... Montgomery County tops 3K COVID-19 cases, records 41st death https://www.yourconroenews.com/neig...cnfeeds&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Sorry, im all for supporting enforced rules against covid but this tweet is poor journalism. How can you top 3000 deaths a second time? It makes it sound like Texas had 3000 deaths in one day. This tweet is dishonest and poorly worded
Agreed, I thought the same thing when I read it, though I don't think it was dishonest, just poorly worded.
Eh... my reading of it was they exceeded 3,000 deaths (and that the 3,000 number was a significant amount). They had a high of 105 deaths yesterday, and 95 deaths today. The tweet even says all this. Jeremy Wallace @JeremySWallace · 58m NEW: Texas has topped 3,000 deaths from COVID-19 for the first time. The state is reporting another 95 deaths today, giving Texas 3,013. Also Texas hit 10,000 active COVID confirmed hospitalizations for the first time.
Dozens of Mississippi lawmakers have coronavirus after weeks of refusing to wear masks By Allison Gordon Updated 2:20 PM EDT, Fri July 10, 2020 https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/10/us/mississippi-coronavirus-legislature-trnd/index.html
Yeah im fine with the second sentence. The first sentence is just too much click bait for my tastes. Thats all. I would have just said "Texas total has reached over 3,000" period
the most eye rolling “u shouldn’t be this careless and dumb” situation I’ve seen recently is regarding that moron Herman Cain was claiming that people are tired of wearing masks, went to Trump’s Tulsa rally without a mask, and eventually ended up hospitalized due to contracting Covid-19...last I heard, he’s still at the hospital Did I mention he’s 74 and has a past history of stage 4 colon cancer?
This is right across the border from Northeast Texas, 2000 people on 20 acres with no social distancing or mask requirements sounds like a great idea. Assholes. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...eople-expected/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
White is a young millionaire that thinks he’s invincible and doesn’t care who might get infected from his selfishness. It doesn’t make it any less infuriating and frustrating.
An update. “4:03 PM PT -- A rep for White tells us the NFL player WILL be encouraging COVID safety during the event. We're told event organizers will be encouraging social distancing and for people to wear masks and wash their hands. We're told the event -- which includes a 6 mile trail ride -- will raise money for local charities.”
The state is reporting another 95 deaths today, giving Texas 3,013 the "first time" is wrong. but doesn't seem they were trying to say that's the number for the day and not the total
