watson has basically been the qb for 2.5 years and you’re ready to get rid of him? The man that’s won 21 games past 2 seasons? Yep should be easy to replace him. I heard fitz is free so let’s get him.......
Remarkable effort by JR last year. You gotta love that kind of grit in a young player, many would just collect the check and rehab. However, as they said on 610 this morning, this makes the fake punt with Reid even more questionable.
Upgrade to who? Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson? Not possible. Those are the ONLY 3 QBs I would take over Watson right now. He will 25 next September and his numbers are 2nd best in History for a QB that has complete 3 seasons under the age of 25 (Mahomes is #1). Regular Season: Career yards Mahomes: 9,412 Watson: 9,716 Career touchdowns Mahomes: 76 Watson: 71 Career interceptions Mahomes: 18 Watson: 29 Rushing Yards & TDs: Watson: 1233 yards, 14TDs. Mahomes: 500 yards, 4 TDs.
Get rid of the Jordans, re-sign Fells and sign Hunter Henry Re-sign Hyde Sign Byron Jones and/or Bradley Robey sign Yannick and/or Barrett Draft Edge, DT, CB, WR, S, G I don't want to see Blackson, Heath, or Scarlett on the field unless there is an injury.
If a QB is available in trade, he’s prob not someone who moves the needle at all. There’s a reason it’s extremely rare a franchise QB gets moved/enters FA
Spoiler You can probably have one of these QBs this offseason: but I'd rather get rid of Bob than Deshaun. Mitchell Trubisky Andy Dalton Joe Flacco Jameis Winston Phillip Rivers Jacoby Brissett Dak Prescott Ryan Fitzpatrick Nick Foles Cam Newton Tom Brady Derek Carr Case Keenum Colt McCoy Drew Brees Teddy Bridgewater Taysom Hill Ryan Tannehill Marcus Mariota Chase Daniel Chad Henne Kyle Allen Drew Stanton AJ McCarron Josh McCown Trevor Siemian Mike Glennon Brett Hundley Blaine Gabbert Matt Moore Blake Bortles Sean Mannion Geno Smith David Fales Nathan Peterman Matt Simms Jeff Driskel Brandon Allen Cooper Rush Nick Mullens Josh Woodrum Logan Woodside
Titans just got to the AFC Championship game with Ryan Tannehill and y'all are saying the Texans can't win with Deshaun Watson. I'm thinking my hiatus from this board wasn't long enough.
Agreed. But again a lot of my suggestions are about depth and insurances. Like let’s say we resign Hyde and keep duke what happens if either has to miss an extended period of time? We have to have a back up that we can rely on. Either a vet or young guy to step up. Same with the TE position even if we resign fells what happens if he misses time just like Akins missed time and JT didn’t step up?Even with Warring I feel like we still need another vet or young guy to add to the depth. And the offensive line as well. We have always been a top heavy team now it’s time to start adding quality depth to spell guy and or step up when need be because of injury. And that starts by drafting well in the mid to lower rounds and hitting on FAs after all the crazy contracts have been dished out.
Ya wonder if that moves the needle for the Broncos. Then again, not sure how much I’d be willing to give up for a potential 1 year rental, especially considering he’d eat up about half of our cap space.
