Young guys currently on team: House McLemore Hartenstein Clemons Frazier House, McLemore are starting and/or getting heavy rotation minutes. Harty almost feels like is on load management. Lots of minutes one game, very little minutes next game. Rinse, repeat. Clemons is on garbage duty, only plays when game out of hand (positively or negatively) or injury to 2 guards (extremely deep guard rotation). Frazier only plays once in blue moon, most danger of being cut. Considering the following are 100% healthy, who do you suggest that coach reduce minutes so above guys can play more? Harden Westbrook Gordon Capela Tucker Rivers House McLemore That's 8 players. Not including Tyson and Thabo.
Thank you. Faried was that bolt of energy the team needed. The fact fans want him back is a testament to how bad Morey's last few years have been. The guy SAVED our season last year, played great, but you choose not to resign him for absolutely no reason. In Morey y'all trust
The team needs defense, which he doesn't bring. He only helped last season because Capela got hurt and we were desperately in need of the 2 skills he did bring, rebounding and finishing at the rim.
_______________________ Bring back CP3! Bring back Ariza! Bring back D-Mo! Bring back Faried! (and my favorite one) Is Luc's shoulder healed yet? We should sign him! Bring back Luc! Please BBS, give it a rest on your infatuation with ex-Rockets. And no, that 2017-18 team can't be put back together again either.
Big difference is we can pick up the Manimal today. Rockets were 11-14 when he arrived and without CP3 and Capella. He was critical in getting us to 1,win against OKC (in a game he didn’t play) to getting the 2 seed in the West. Bad defense....look at their record when he played last year, it was superb!!! Lakers were very very close to signing him in the offseason and decided on Javale McGhee as he was a better fit having already played in their system. He is playing overseas now.
Faried doesn't want to play for D'Antoni. Let me sign on so I can sit on the bench! D'Antoni doesn't want to play Faried.
Hard to blame him. Look at Hartenstein. Dude can play really well and then come out and miss one rotation and be glued to the bench. More than any other position D'Antoni seems to have major trust issues with guys who play the 5 for him. Probably because they don't get to shoot as much so they don't have that crutch to lean on with him. McLemore gets to shoot 3s all game so D'Antoni can ignore all of his missed rotations.
Good point, but his playing time ended coinciding shortly after the signing of Shumpert. He would be a better backup to Tucker than House. Just imagine him and Westbrook out there together with the second team. The hustle would be incredible and tons of alley oops!!!
Couldn't get past this: ...watched the game on NBA TV and the opposing team’s announcers... It was Brian Anderson and Greg Anthony, not the Grizz announcers.
As a fan, I would much rather watch (win or lose) Westbrook, Faried, and Hartenstein busting their tails over hustling and wearing the other team out than the recent play we have all had to painfully witness.
My apologies, you are correct. I thought they were the regular Memphis announcers. NBA TV usually puts Worrell on for our home games. Either way, they felt sorry for our short players not being able to rebound so many of the Memphis misses.
If he's worked on his 3pt shot a bit more, I'd consider it at this point. As a situational backup C. If he can't hit 33% of his 3's from the corner, then hell no.
Faried is not a 3 point shooter, but neither is Hart or Capella and arguably several others on the team (not named Harden or Gordon).
D'Antoni not only NBA coach that did not want to play Faried. He was just the last one. And as much as we love Faried, he is out of NBA because his defense is lacking.
