Pretty impressed by GC’s play tonight, where in the rotation can we maximize his potential? Or is this headed the way of sending him to the G-league like House last year.. Hits another 3 right as I’m saying this. We may have our savior.
I’ve said it from day 1 that Gary is much better Sefolosha. I am glad to see him finally receives an opportunity.
Just don't have too many expectations on him now, he wasn't **** to begin with and he's not our saviour now, but he can be a serviceable player (imo at least). At least maybe, and i'm saying maybe, he'll not end up cut and picked up by another team to produce afterall. Kinda curious that Mike suddenly got him out there for many minutes though.
Frustrating player, I always feel like he's on the verge of breaking out into a very solid role player or getting waived. Bill made the poitn, his shots always look good even when he misses... but he just misses far too many. But when he has a good game, leaves me feeling like
He has a 3 point shot and has length to be a useful rotation player on this team. His problem is that he is soft and inconsistent.
Gary got potential ,assuming we get another power foward ,then u got ex,marvin williams,eg ,gary or rivers, harty or chandler ,the issue becomes u have to chose between gary ,rivers or mclemore,if gary can keep improving ,I'm ok with him over the others, this lineup wont lack height ,defense or rebounding, and hopefully if eg is having fun again he can produce bench points, dantoni likes offense with the tradeoff of bad defense(I dont)d with the bench lineup I mention u can get both offense and defense ,which i believe is better in the long run. My idea here is to banish small ball and even if the bench guys struggle hopefully their defense is strong enough to were it can still keep the team afloat. If dantoni wants too he can add rivers in their ,and make it a 10 man rotation.
MDA played him 30 tonight. That’s enough for 3 games so don’t expect to see him for a while Maclemore needs more chances. Thabo is a real solid vet .
Fantastic point. Truth be told, you can tell since preseason that he has made a concerted effort to rebound the basketball. I hope he figures it out, because he is oh so perfect when he plays tough.
I think people need to tone down their expectations regarding Clark. If you are expecting him to be an impact player in the playoffs on a contending team then you are going to be disappointed. His role is going to be exactly what he filled today. Always be ready for limited opportunities during a long regular season and fill in when a need arises for whatever reasons (injures, suspensions, etc etc.) He would be better served on a young developing team. Rockets do not have the kind of time and patience that he needs to develop imo.
He is nowhere near athletic enough to be compared to Shawn Marion, an NBA all star. I’d say he is more like a James posey, but I don’t even think he is athletic as him. He still has work to do on this body to be rotational player in the NBA.
