What is sad right now is how depreciated of an asset Ryan Anderson is right now. He couldn't see time on the Suns of all teams. Couldn't see time on Miami. And hasn't been courted as a FA. He is a VET MIN guy now at best *IF* any team wants him, which right now is no one.
He has lots of financial security and he is happy. There was a feeling that he wasn't as motivated once he was used to being married. I would not be shocked if he separates himself from basketball for awhile and works on his home situation. it is easy for us to judge him, but he has battled depression and anxiety in the past and appears to be happy for the first time in a long time and has what appears to be a relatively normal and healthy life outside of basketball.
There is no question about the issues he had. I really glad he got married and is having a family and is happy. Honestly, at this point he should focus on that.
Agreed. In fairness to Ryan Anderson, most are quick to forget he fought spasms and other issues with his back most of his second year here, and played late in the regular season and playoffs despite having an insanely sprained ankle. I have no way of corroborating this, but my impression was CP3 was a d!ck to him and that might have gotten in his head. I would love to have him back here for depth, provided he's worked through his on-court issues and was here on a reasonable deal. Which we all probably agree would be a vet minimum deal at best.
And I'm sure you were saying that when Houston was adding him. I'm sure you made that clear at the time.
MCW got minutes with the magic. Meaningful minutes with the magic. It's October and Iman still hooping in the drew league!
dude really didnt have a fit here, hes kinda a has been. Really surprised the rockets even offered him , it was probably so low he was like wtf. This guy reminds me of a lesser broke down trevor ariza, he was trash with the knicks, knicks thought they had something got so pissed when he turn out bust. Knicks trash, got on with lebron to look good, people would never trade for him nor jr. lol he can cause alittle upset in the offensive shot, but other than that he blows. Watch him sign a 2 year with sac cause the love for him there, probably get more anyways there.
Michael Carter Williams was resigned the first day of free agency and it's September and Shumpert not signed!
