"Earn the money"? NBA contracts like his are fully guaranteed. He earned it by being skillful enough at his job to have that contract offered to him.
DAMN!!! TILMAN BROKE AF!!!- signed Carl Herrera " I don’t believe in loans because I don’t want to pay anybody back,” Mims said. “I’ve given him gifts, too. You know, I mean, how do I get my booty and boobs back?” Wallace said the situation has caused him to rethink getting into another relationship with a stripper. “I did kind of see it possibly ending this way,” he said. Mims said Wallace isn’t the first customer asking for a refund, adding that other patrons would follow her home and she’s had to move twice and switch gyms and jobs. “No refunds in the strip club. I’ve even had people come up in there asking can he get a dance and he’ll pay me back next week,” she said. “We ain’t got no layaway plans either.”
Like Till Man said, he will do "WHATEVER IT TAKES" provided this Imagine Dragons hit is on Amazon Prime Free Streaming and not the premium Amazon music version
I have to say in the last two years I've enjoyed how the boards can come together to make fun of our cheap owner. I eagerly await the next meme.
This team is not deep enough to win a championship. Rockets won’t trade for Igg or other great players because their boss are in financial trouble.
What if we trade for iggy, Peter? Do you think then we might have what it takes? Do you think the reason we won’t trade for iggy is bc of Tillman’s bank account or are we scared to burn even additional inventory?
https://deadspin.com/russell-westbrook-restructured-his-contract-to-give-til-1837083665 This is incredibly damning. The media has caught on to Tilman.
DeadBait is overreacting as usual. It does save ferntits money because of inflation but Russ didn't need to agree to it. Russ saves a lot by playing more home games in a state without income tax. It's a nice gesture by Russ but the extra commentary is way out of proportion
Are we sure Russ didn't have to agree to it? I mean, if my boss told me to defer my salary to later in the fiscal year, I'd have my resume ready, and I'd be scared the clown was about to go into bankruptcy. I wouldn't be all, "Hey, no problem boss. You pay me when you're ready." This sounds awfully petty from Fertitta. As to the state income tax, I'm not WB's CPA, but does the forfeited interest from having WB's money deferred, wash out the 5% delta in tax rates? In short, why the hell would WB agree to this?
I'm assuming the CBA has rules against unilaterally restructuring a guaranteed contract. Agreed that it makes no sense unless there's a wink wink deal.
Last 3 summers, Tilman has never tried to steal someone’s free agents. What a nice guy! Oh, he stole 37 years old chandler.
The article is right. Westbrook is giving up financial value by deferring payments, though we have no way to know how much because we don't know what has actually be done. What we do know is that it was asked. It wasn't asked of him so we could add a player or even to get under the tax, it was simply asked of him to make it easier on the owner making payroll. We don't know if this is a normal thing or not, but it seems probable that it was a "requirement" otherwise he wouldn't have done it.
