Defense is going to be an absolute train wreck next season. Rockets taking steps back this offseason already, with virtually no way to improve the roster. Things are going great.
To new beginnings.... somehow Tilman and MDA are still here. I wonder why we are so desperate to get rid of them, the Finals have not even started.
Roy Rodgers probably wanted his shot tbh. And I kinda see where hes coming from. Before Jeff came back the defense was actually doing well contrary to popular belief.
Well ****. There goes one of my sources for free tickets. My best friend is Roy's brother-in-law. Roy was always great at hooking me up.
Tilman is the owner, do you actually think there is a chance he will not be here? better chance of team not being in Houston than Tilman not being owner
Roy was on the last year of his contract, so Tilman could "part ways" with him and not owe him money. Hard to imagine he'd be willing to eat MDA's salary for an entire season. I'm guessing he'll ride with him again this year and be ready to pull the trigger mid-season if things go south for some reason.
That could be good if he’s willing to accept the defensive coordinator role left by bzdelik. Wouldn’t hurt to have a coach who’s willing to bark an order either.
Meh, don’t see how this changes things. MDA is still there and a big shot assistant is not going to happen who challenges MDA, Harden or CP3. Just make Drexler and Calvin Murphy assistants with Drexler as defensive coordinator.
With MDA and Thibodeau on the team, they will demand Houston to play to take games to overtime so everyone can play 55 minutes per night.
I really liked Roy, looked like a great guy to have around the team, wish him the best going forward and i'm curious to see who's coming to replace him and Jeff.
