I thought it came out this weekend the 1st part of season 3 was boring as hell, and the animation didn’t look as good...I hope this 2nd part of season 3 is as good as S1 was for me
Season 3 is worth it IMHO. They do a lot of story telling and history lessons but only if you are invested in it. I think the hype isn't there no longer. The Live action movie with Japanese actors never lived up to it, it wasn't all that.
Some ongoing anime I'm really digging right now: Dororo One Punch Man [season two] Attack on Titans [season three] Black Clover Kimetsu no Yaiba
Honestly... Does One Punch Man have new writers or something? I liked the first 3 episodes of season 2 (they were okay) since they featured Saitama and were building up towards something, but the last 2 episodes were dogshit. Overall, this is turning into an underwhelming season. Can't believe I'm saying this about OPM.
The show is following the source material and trying to build other characters. A lot of shows suffer from "protagonist syndrome". When the one character everyone wants to see isn't involved, people tend to have trouble caring. It's a particular conundrum for this series because the protagonist wins every fight instantly. They have rely on other characters fighting to build any kind of drama. They dodged it in season one, Saitama was front and center for all but one episode, but these last 2 episodes have been a slog.
This 5th episode is especially problematic, since not only was Saitama nowhere to be found (for the most part), it also failed to develop other characters. It was literally a filler.
