No. The chances of winning are greater if we commit fewer TOs...but it is not guaranteeing a win. Take for example the last Warrior/Rocket game. The turnovers were pretty even through the first 3 quarters for both teams. But the Rocket's scoring (FINALLY) surged back in the fourth when the Warrior's TOs were greater than ours. We almost won. The total TOs for the game were Warriors 14, Rockets 10. If we had won that game on a last second shot, it would have been due to their 14 TOs. A lower TO average increases your chances of winning. With the Warriors, you have to average lower TOs to have a great chance to beat them. The championship runs through Golden State...whether we like it or not. In the Warrior/Rockets game we also shot a lesser FG%...if we had shot about the same, we probably would have won due to their higher TO rate. That is why I laugh at their "statement" game. They were lucky to win...it was no statement game except in their minds. We can't depend on luck to win the Championship...we need to win by statistically beating them in all categories. Now that would be a "statement". Goodnight everyone.
Did that happen in the last 2 minutes?...if so the two minute report would be interesting to check out tomorrow.
Suns owner/management will trade 2 or 3 of those players to resurrect a three point guard starting lineup.
Of course they are not in the same situation but the principle is the same, Capela acted like a professional instead of letting his emotions get the better of him and put his rather cold blooded negotiations with the team behind him. It also applies to everyday life too if you flip your boss out what will you gain and what will you lose? This is the same DHouse didnt really gain anything from ignoring Tillman but may have burned bridges with him and the Rox organization. Thats not really smart esp from a perspective of a Rox fan who wants him on the team next season.
Pretty sure Houston would be Danuel House's last resort next year. He is hurt from the way the Rox treated his contract situation judging by his Tillman brush off.
You're looking at it as a fan and not from House's perspective. If anything, this game serves as an example of "Tilman was wrong not to pay House" as opposed to "House was definitely overrated." He hasn't burned any bridges with the Rockets org. If he did, MDA wouldn't play him (much less start him), and the players on the roster wouldn't be so supportive of House.
Strategic brush off to get paid this summer. Hopefully he plays well enough for the Rockets to want to give it to him.
Kelly Oubre had some defensive moments in this game...Harden still dropped 40, but he impressed me a few times
Harden was attacking the bucket relentlessly in the fourth quarter especially in the last two minutes
I know the Suns have an abysmal record but they really are much improved. Booker, Ayton, Oubre, Jackson...that's a spectacular young core. So this qualifies as a great win tonight, especially without CP3.
I think a lot of the folks are reading too much into the "encounter." I didn't see it the same way. Tillman said something like "nice game," and House nodded and said something and that was it. How is it a "brush off?"
Look at it this way. He's shooting better than most since Feb 21st from behind the arc. James has only made 3 more than Tucker but taken 67 more shots. Now that's a ton of extra bricks. Tucker 28 of 58 Harden 31 of 125 LOL
None of the Suns could slow down their former teammate House. They can't slow Harden down in their dreams, let alone in a real game.
I dunno if Tillman was wrong not to pay House he has an incentive not to pay House because he wanted to get LTS and thats not happening if he gave House what he wanted (which is a contract for the rest of the season the moment his 2 way expired). I dont really know the cap situation but I was basing it on Bima's post which said the way to get under LT is pay House a prorated amoubt of his salary lol. You are right maybe its nothing. However the owner is different from the coach and other players if the owner gets pissed at you it doesnt matter if the other players like you or not he is outta here. Anyway some posters said it was nothing and I hope it is nothing. Lets see what happens in the offseason.
