When you have one of the best receiving backs in the NFL, it doesn't make sense to pretend he's a power back. That's really all I'm saying.
It's not just running up the middle. It's when it's so obvious. When everyone is bunched up on both sides of the line and it's an obvious short yardage situation. Wanna run it up the middle, fine. At least spread the players out so the defense at least has to account for pass catchers on the peripherals. They don't have the time of line that can create a surge and a RB than can penetrate even when there isn't a hole. They do have a lot of talent that can bounce it outside with much better success.
Everybody needs to calm down. There will be a lot of misdirection screens to Lamar, like there was last year when Deshaun was quarterbacking.
Can't believe they do this for preseason https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-refocused-2018-texans-17-chiefs-10
This is preseason so we all should know no team is running their total offense or defense. Especially not in the first preseason game. This is just scrimmage and practice.
The biggest thing that I'll take from the game last night is that Spencer Tillman makes me wish I was deaf.
Analysts probably have blue balls for not talking about football for the longest time. 1st PS game = blows analytical load.
Don't forget Adrian Peterson . Also I believe it was Tyler Ervin that he was comparing to legendary HOF RBs... Makes all the difference
Looks like some pretty decent blocking to me. At least in this series, the offensive line looks better than last year.
Yeah he was blocking well there. When he got his hands on the defender first it was over. Liked how he recovered after Ford got under his pad level one time. Davenport was able to redirect guys after initially getting beat. O-Line got some good push in the run game.
