Bunch of casual GSW fans are going to be crushed if the Rockets play their game and beat these Warriors. I really want to see both teams health and let the chips fall. Go Rockets!
Male sibling, behold thee a sight of the organized mass communication spreaders suddenly move on the hands and knees or by dragging the body close to the ground in the backward direction!
Everyone could have issues with OKC. At the end of the day, star power is still star power. If all three are on their game, they can easily go off for 20-30+ each. The thing is, they play is such a discombobulated style that it is difficult for more than 1 or 2 of them to get into rhythm. The other disadvantage they have is that they don't utilize their support players nearly as well as Rockets, GSW, Raptors, etc.
With the regular season 72% done, the ooh-they're-so-scary Thunder are only 7 games over .500. Sure, they could beat anybody in a single game, but in a 7-game series they're toast because they just don't have the bench. Outside of their best 8 players, there's nobody on that team I'd want in our 13th-15th roster spots. Patrick Patterson? Kyle Singler? Nick Collison? b****, please. I want OKC in the first round just so we can send them packing.
A segment with actual numbers and data and optics. Thought those days were over. Was so used to Kellerman and Cowherd flip flopping to be on the contrarian side of things and Skip comparing everyone to His Spurs.
Reminds me of Morey saying no one wanted the Rockets in the playoffs in our 41-41 season or Isiah Thomas calling his Knicks the best 8th seed of all-time. OKC has no better chance of upsetting anyone than the other teams with the same record. In fact, I'd be more afraid of Utah at the moment because they seem to have fixed their offensive woes while keeping their top tier defense after getting Gobert back. God that guy is annoying.
Nick is a cool dude. Took shots with him at some bar when he lived here. Loves Houston. Don’t agree with everything he does and says but he keeps it real and studies numbers. Watches games.
OKC hype is weird. If Westbrook plays his normal game they lose(lots of usage on inefficiency). If Melo plays his game they lose(inefficient). They need Paul George to be a monster and Westbrook to take a back seat. Won’t happen. They barely beat the Rockets playing at home with CP3/Luc not playing. Briante Weber was also running the second unit. Roberson is also not a factor for Harden anymore. Houston would gentleman sweep the Thunder again.
They seem to win a lot of their nationally televised games. They play up to their opponents. They have wins against the Rockets, Cavs, Raptors, and wolves. Obviously those are not seven game series and mean little. But if you turn on TNT and see them beating the brakes off the Warriors, you might be tempted to think they are better than they really are
But their 4 best players have only played 223 of a possible 236 games, so who knows what they'd be capable of if they could just stay on the court. Meanwhile, all the best players on the top teams like Harden, Paul, Capela, Leonard, Curry, etc. have missed virtually no time at all. Or it could be the complete opposite.
OKC lost there major defensive specialist with Roberson, this will hurt specifically against the rockets.. Chris Paul will cause russell problems see there head to heard.. CP shoots 50 against him and russel shoots 39% against Paul, our bench depth will destroy the thunder... Not to mention if PG tries to guard harden that should kill his efficiency.
