Ryno didn't give himself that contract, this is what happens when Durell gets things the easy way. Art through adversity and stuff
At least we have one terrible contract. Imagine if we were the cavs and we had TT and JR making 33mil.
Remember when Ego and Ryno were our huge offseason acquisitions? Harden did a lot with those two as his main guys. So much in fact that Houston became a destination for other big names and now they are both on the bench. It is just amazing how stacked this team is.
That’s what’s happens when you give one dimensional players 20 million a year. Fortunately we’ve been able to succeed in spite of that.
Damn!!! GREAT revelation @BigO To think, that this entire time no one on CF has realized and pointed this out, is just amazing. Just great detective work on your part. Maybe you can help us figure out where Joe Johnson plans to sign???
Look, I'm as critical of Ryan as anyone but will gladly acknowledge two things: 1. It is a lot more about his production vs. his salary than it is about his production. He's a good fit for the team and we'd probably all love the guy if he made 10 million per year instead of 20. 2. I wish I knew how many of you half-assed your jobs and are thus only worth half of what you make. Because I bet it's a lot of us.
First of all, Anderson makes 19.5mil this year. Yes, it's semantics because his salary will rise into $20+mil but if you're going to use an arbitrary cut-off line at least make sure it's correct. In addition, the players around him (+/- $2mil/yr) who signed UFA contracts are George Hill, Jeff Teague, Allen Crabbe, Danillo Gallinari, Greg Monroe, Joakim Noah, Wes Mathews, and Brook Lopez. I know the hate for Ryan Anderson is strong but why go out of the way to mislead people in how you portray his salary? A lot of bad contracts were handed out in 2016 and the Rockets had to hand them out because Durant didn't want to come here and not even Kent Bazemore wanted to come here because we were in the utter dumps. It's funny how people forgot how bad of a place this team was just 1 1/2 years ago when people were discussing trading Harden away and how we had no chance to compete. And now all people can talk about over and over is Ryan Anderson.
Everyone year fans need a scape goat, and it sucks but this year the average fan view it as andersen.
