I don't think it's a bad idea to come off the bench the first couple of games back . But he should and will be starting soon
Don’t see it happening. Eric Gordon is an amazing talent but there’s no way that happens. Don’t think Gordon is thinking like this. He’s just trying to fill his role until Chris comes back.
Official game 1 vs Warriors both Harden and Paul had 21 assists combined. They scored 120 plus points...Paul and Harden are going to be fine. I am hopeful that Paul starts improving as a set shooter and Harden improves as a decision maker(lower TO rate).
Cp3 might come off the bench for a game or two but he'll be back in starting rotation as soon as he gets integrated into the flow. Rather not rush it.
just look at the Clippers without cp3, he turned a lottery team into a contender, you are going to bench this kind of player? OP needs to go learn some basketball first.....
I'm worried more about CP finding his niche in the offense. He looked lost his 1st game. I just want him to run the offense and find a way to the shot he wants
We're going to see a LOT of Harden/CP3/EG/PJ///Boute/Capela lineups. Most likely to close out games if it's close. Pringles isn't that dumb to not play EG with CP3/Harden. EG will be on the court. Just not starting, which you should be okay with. CP3 is one of the top PG's of the NBA, even right now. He's not coming off the bench unless he speaks out and wants it.
it just depends if cp3 coaching staff and input from harden/cp3/gordon thinks it's easier to get gordon or cp3 going.. I don't think starting gordon with harden, then CP3 coming in around to 5-6 minute mark, finish and close games, and end up playing as much or more minutes than gordon can be considered benching winning games is about getting a jump on the other team, pacing yourself, and saving more than enough to close the opponent and the more evenly distributed the minutes are in the regular season, it exponentially improves our chance in the playoffs all I'm saying it's more important that those 3 are ready to play 100% every night then running out of gas or getting injured (again)
Chris Paul is never, ever coming off the bench. He is a generational talent. Might as well benching Lebron. Things are going well right now, but it won't be that way forever. To win a championship, it simply isn't a choice.
I have a feeling it will in the final 3-4 minutes of every game, especially with how good CP3 is at defense.
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Bench....CHRIS PAUL?! I really question the knowledge of Houston baskeball fans outside of this organization. THis is simply NOT an option.
It’s up to MDA to make it work. Harden and CP3 have to work off the ball, shoot from wherever they are comfortable and not just become watchers who park outside the 3pt line. I also don’t want to see CP3 change his game to the point of settling for threes, which he did @ GS. I’m not sold on this duo together on the court working yet, though we should be fine.
That is the current status. If he has a setback after his workout today or tomorrow then he may get delayed. We will probably get another update during the game broadcast tonight.
