If 2 rotation guys go down at the same position, then you are going to be dipping into Onooakoo/Zochee/Oothoff/T-Will/Bob-B/Taylor territory in most cases, so I don't think that is a special priority. I mean, if CP3 gets hurt, then we are down to Harden and EGo at the 1 and "literally nobody else." Not exactly literally, it's just that T-Will/Zochee may not be too palatable of options if two rotation players go down at the 4. He doesn't shoot 3s, so he's not a 4 for D'Antoni. That's why Harrell was trying to add a 3-point shot as Zochee is trying now.
As I recall, we had 1 too many big men. It came down to Joey Dorsey or (undrafted) Tarik Black. Black was the better prospect, but Morey had plucked Dorsey from Europe on guaranteed $2.5mil deal. Would have had to toss 2.5 mil in the dumpster. Instead, we kept a guy who played like a dumpster and sent TB packing. Welcome back Tarik!
3.5 if I'm not mistaken. He's improved from when he was with us but I don't think he's worth our BAE.
The only thing I hate about this move is no slot left for Williams, unless Brown doesn't get picked up.
He is most definitely worth our BAE. There are not many good back up C options out there and Tarik is an excellent grab at the BAE. We can't go into the season with just Nene and Capela.
You find the Tarik Blacks you don't overpay the Tarik Blacks....And then you pay them the minimum after they are cut.
