This is the most awesome celebrity endorsement yet. I love this guy (not least because he has ghey in his name).
You have to forgive him, he was probably just really high when that bit was shot. He probably smokes more than dude does which says a lot.
Tl;dr Is houston currently good? Well to answer that, we need to examine the excellent basketball skills displayed by Vernon maxwell in 1994.
if we cloned Matthew McConaughey we could park him courtside every game and then he'd know more about the Rockets regular season
He's not wrong though. Those championships were not won just by Dream, even when he played out of his mind in the WCF and Finals in 1995. Remember that Horry hit the winning shot in Game 1 against the Spurs as well as 6 threes in Game 6. Elie hit the Kiss of Death in Game 7 vs Phoenix. Kenny Smith hit 7 threes including the shot to send it to overtime against the Magic in Game 1. Sam Cassell hit the go-ahead 3-pointer in Game 3 vs the Knicks. Maxwell scored 31 points in the 2nd half of Game 3 vs Phoenix to begin the Clutch City comeback from the 0-2 deficit. Hell, even Chucky Brown of all people went for 15 points and 7 boards in Game 5 vs Phoenix which the Rockets barely eeked out in overtime. His point is that Harden can't do it all by himself. Other guys will have to step up. Most nights this season, they have(the comeback in Minnesota being a prime example). But other times, they haven't. Gordon bricked a wide open three that would've given the Rockets the win over San Antonio last month. Anderson, Gordon, and Ariza all bricked wide open shots against Memphis a week ago that prevented a comeback in that game. That can't happen in the postseason. The supporting cast will have to step up because you know defenses will be zeroing in on Harden.
tha_dude: count_dough-ku is throwing it down like James Brown up in this b****. Clyde: I like it. Matt McC: Let's roll another J, brother. Bullard: Ok, time for another brick in the wall reference.
He knows nothing about the rockets and the NBA and they put him on the spot lmao. Glad he's loyal enough to call himself a rockets fan though. Just not an NBA guy lol
He's one of those guys who has been a long time 'fan of the team', but obviously hasn't the time or desire to follow the team very closely, certainly not this year. But, he has at least noticed that the team is doing really well, and that they got a new coach and got rid of Howard. Good job SAS and what-his-face, good research before the interview, to make sure MM had anything real to say about the Rockets.
