I'm not quite sure what he's saying there, he seems to be implying that Atlanta's holdup is the lack of certainty that Dwight would stay, it gives off the vibe that Horford doesn't want to stay in Atlanta either, else would Dwight opting in really be a better option than Horford long term?
Yes. Positional need league wide and tons and tons of money. Thats his base but mids was before the cap rise. Now add to that 4-5 mil. Apparently atl fans think that everyone sux except from millsap. They also think that horford will resign but they dont want him because he gets dominated..smh.
No way he gets max money, at most he's getting 10 mil a year. Gms are spending more but there not dumb. If he kept up his pace from the first couple games of the season then maybe even tho I doubt it, but he's regressed back to a player putting up decent numbers on a young not very good team. Orlando imo is coached well but there Talent is really overrated imo. I don't see one player that has Allstar potential, lots of rotation guys tho which is not bad but they need a Allstar/star bad.
Sorry but LOL. He TURNED down that offer because he wanted more LAST year. 10 mil a year is the money a backup pg or pf will get. A C and a sf or sg that is a backup will get 12 and a starter like Fournier? Max. Maybe near max.
I couldn't have written a more lopsided trade for the Rox if I tried. The article talks about how Dwight is gonna hit the FA market in 2 years so how is trading for him now gonna make sense? An offer of Whiteside, Winslow, Deng and filler is good enough to get Cousins, why would they waste time on Dwight, who the article admits is a shell of his former self and couldn't even play b2bs at the start of the year? And the the fact that he's older is a minus, not a plus this is like saying Dirk would be a better fit on the Spurs than LMA because Dirk is also old like TD and Manu. If I were DM I would pounce on this trade like crazy but Riley isn't dumb 0 chance he offers this deal.
Imagine actually thinking Morey would trade Dwight for Nene and Gortat or for a deal centered around Luol Deng. LOL, would be funny.
Something to consider, and maybe someone already made this point. IF the source of the rumor is Dwight's agent, it means one very obvious thing, that the Rockets have not guaranteed Dwight a max extension.
If Orlando is determined to keep Fournier off the market, they're doing a great job by starting him at SG. He has been AWFUL since that lineup change.

The sad part is there is a real possibility the only championships Lebron gets are the ones is south beach. Once again Cleveland got the D from a #23
Just saw a bit on the Rockets on NBA TV. Rick Fox and David Aldridge were talking about Dwight. Aldridge said he thinks Dwight is obviously not happy with the teams record but he's not pounding his fists and demanding a trade. He just doesn't think the team is mentally in it this season. Aldridge also had some interesting views on T-Jones. Says he doesn't think any team is giving us a pick for Jones. He'll likely be packaged with a bigger contract.
Is the finalized Atlanta deal done yet or still sitting on the commissioner's desk awaiting approval? Will check in again later.
Lol I did forget to mention on NBA TV, they were talking about Dwight opting out and they said "Dwight is likely to opt out and he could go anywhere even here in Atlanta". Then they went on to talk about how players are opting out to get pay raises and sometimes don't even desire to leave, blah, blah, blah.
