Simple yes or no. If we could manuever #1, #33, and next year's first and get both Mack and Manziel, would you do it?

I would - two top 10 players in a stacked draft is always a good option in my book. Fills both needs we have.

    No brainer.

Probably the top two guys at their positions on the Texan's draft board.

No way for Manziel, he isn't even a top 32 player

Mack and Bridge or Mack and Bortles maybe

    It'd be bittersweet.

I want Clowney, but Mack and Manziel would be a nice "OK, this make you feel better?" day.

    Absolutely not.

I'd rather have Clowney and Bridgewater (or any QB that BOB covets more than Manziel), while still holding onto our first rounder next season.

Well, the alternative would be Clowney at #1, and then if Bridgewater falls down to the 20's possibly trading up with our second rounder and next year's second rounder to steal him away from the Browns at 26 or some other team like the Patriots.

I think Bridgewater is going to wind up going in the first round.

Not for Manziel, much rather maneuver to get Teddy if he falls.

    Hell to da no....

The Texans 2015 pick next year will probably be a top 10-12 pick. Way to valuable to let that go.

Yeah, I don't believe that. Regime change. BOB is the real deal. We were pick-6's away from being a playoff contender this season. Full draft. Just don't see that happening. Wouldn't be surprised at all if these guys won 10 (or more) games next season. Even if all we could run out there was Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB.

    Consensus #1 linebacker and QB.

Bob will get us in the playoffs and it'll be a low pick.

    Do it!

No chance, we have too many holes to blow our load on two guys

We'll see dude. I see 5-7 wins at best and I think that would be good for a 1st time NFL head coach.

Do not be surprised if the Texans do trade up before the Browns 2nd pick if their QB is still on the board. This years 2nd and 4th plus a 2nd next year could be good enough. The Texans arent good enough to be trading away 1st rounders...

Never know in the NFL. Anything is possible... I mean we went from a 12 win team to a 2 win team with almost no changes to the majority of the roster.

So while *you* might only see 5-7 wins, look at how fine a line a 12-4 team is from a 2-14 team.

I think BOB's offensive approach of attacking defenses's weakness and changing the game play on a week to week basis alone nets us 5 wins.

Yes. Best QB and possibly best Defensive player available.

It is tempting. If we can move back from 1 to get a first and a third this year plus a first 2015, I'd give up our second this year and one of our firsts next year to move back up into the first this year for a shot at a QB.

    Houston trades: 1.1
    Houston receives: 1.6, 2.5 (37th), and a 1st in 2015
    Houston drafts: Mack at 1.6

    Houston trades: 2.1 (33rd), 5.1 (141st), and Atlanta's 1st in 2015
Houston receives: 1.9 (Buffalo) or 1.13 (St. Louis)
Houston drafts: QB at 1.9 or 1.13

Looking ahead, 2015 would feature Mariota, Winston, Petty, and Hundley though...

If you said Clowney and #33 plus next years second I would say yes as long as we didn't have to move past #20 to get him.
Wayyy too much value in the #33 this draft - it has been pointed out by better sources than this little duck that this years top 40 have first round grades whereas in a typical year the top 20-25 might have round one grades.
It would be a huge shame to miss out on a top three QB for sure, but it would also be a huge shame to miss out on a possible Teddy Bridgewater, Louis Nix III, Jason Verrett, Timmy Jernigan, Stephon Tuitt, Kon Ealy or Joel Bitonio.

Hell no. Decent Chance Manziel drops to the 20's tonight. No way in hell I'm giving up a first rounder to move up ~10 spots. Ugh, so dumb.
