Would Kyrie winning MVP over Harden be a travesty?

I completely agree. I don't understand the obsession with him winning the MVP. He gets overworked during the season and tires out during our playoff run. Rather have him play on another level in the postseason and be FINALS MVP.

If I were Harden I would ask to be left out of MVP running and even all NBA teams. I would even say not to be on the ALL star team. Tell the NBA to go F themselves. Would be a great story.

Swayguy is a YOF/LOF who hates Harden so it's not suprising. His passive aggressive thread here trying to prop up Kyrie while his subtel Harden bashing is fooling no one.

I think being first place in the East is like being named most handsome at an ugly convention. It doesn't count for much.

A true MVP should be able to do that regardless of how much they played in the regular season. I don’t say that to hate on Harden. I thought he deserved it in previous years, but I don’t dwell on it after watching his playoff performances. If he has an amazing year and leads the team to the finals without getting MVP, then I might jump on the conspiracy bandwagon.

I really hope Harden proves me wrong in the playoffs this year. Please don't quit, James.

Hey now! If your Knicks were relevant and Porzingus kept getting shafted I think you would be concerned too!:D

Stop complaining about Harden winning MVP. He will win one and I guarantee it. It's just not now. Kobe didn't win one until later in his career.

Right now, worry about winning games and winning games in the Playoffs.

Kyrie gonna get it man. It’s just the way it works. NBA loves a story like that

yes considering that Kyrie isn't playing that well and arguably hasn't been their best player. Celtics have been lucky in a lot of games

But Kobe played in LA and got media push.

The media hates Harden and will give him no push.

    Agreed.
With that said, Boston is playing some pretty good basketball.
Their are the result of the contributions of several players.
Besides Kyrie, they have contributions from:
    Al Horford,
    Jaylen Brown (Drafted 3rd - 2016)
    Jayson Tatum (Drafted 3rd - 2017)

We can't look at Boston's record and say it is Kyrie that has propelled them to the top of the standings.
Boston basically has 4 all-star caliber players.
This is something people do not realize since Brown and Tatum just came into the league and people are not familiar with that.

Finally, based on Kyrie's current stats, they do not come anywhere close to Harden's stats.

    Kyrie stats:
20.3 Points, 5.3 Assists and 3.2 Rebounds per game

    Harden stats:
31.8 Points, 10.1 Assists and 4.8 Rebounds per game

On top of that, Harden is more efficient, and has a better 3 point and overall shooting average by a statistically significant amount.

In summary, Kyrie is not getting the MVP award ahead of Harvard.

Who's better at playing basketball lebron or ariza?

I would give the "slight edge" to lebron, but ariza is a solid defender and does what the team needs him to do, aka the dirty stuff, and so his numbers suffer a bit; but I wouldn't be surprised if you said ariza was better at basketball.

Again, I give the edge to lebron, I'm just saying it wouldn't be a travesty if you said ariza was better.

    Am I doing this right @swyyyguy ?
