If I am not mistaken, House cannot be paid more than the for the non-taxpayer mid level exception for the first year of his next contract because of the Gilbert Arenas rule.

If the Rockets choose to stay under the apron next season, they will have the non-taxpayer mid level exception as well as the bi-annual exception, meaning that the Rockets can match any offer for House. But by doing so, Rivers, Faried and Shumpert are almost guaranteed to leave next season.

Will the Rockets keep him? Make your prediction.

His real value and his future with the team will be determined by his performance in the upcoming playoffs.

Not an ideal situation for the Rockets.

If he does well, we most likely wont be able to pay him.

If he does not do well then he is not worth keeping.

Nope. Don't see ownership offering him much. If he plays decent in playoffs he'll get an offer and leave. No reason for him to stay for a discount.

The money allocated towards Bill Worrell for next season will be used to retain House's services.

Hoping he sells as soon as possible. He's got scared money. While other owners are thinking long term to improve their teams value by getting better, he's cutting costs and got us set up to go bargain hunting as our only option to improve throughout Harden's prime.

Expect to see Tilman fans rejoice as we sign some scrub who's half as good but cheap, as they try to spin it as yet another win for the genius Morey.

I doubt it... its not like the last couple months have earned any good will regarding a sweetheart deal...

I think he will continue to play well... and get a decent offer from another team...

If he gets more than the mid level next year that means he balled out in the playoffs.

I knew Danuel House was acting, all smiling when he came back. Knew he hated someone, Daryl and Tillman really messed up again.

Harden had to carry the Rockets singlehanded, with Capela, Paul, Gordon all out. They have a excuse.

Danuel, Tillman, Morey egos all screwed each other. Danuel doesn't care about his teammates, only himself, it's understandable. Tillman is petty cheap.
This is Danuel walkout year no doubt, disrespecting Tillman, Tillman, Morey disrespecting Danuel.
Danuel completely ignoring Tillman after the game.
There are 2 sides to this, when Danuel walks out.

With the way NBA teams are handing out big money contracts like candy, I wouldn't be surprised if a team decides to throw a lot of money at House, in the offseason.

we don't have much young talent at all. It would be foolish to just let someone walk. So as long as its reasonable....4, 5, or 6 million a year, i think we have to pay him. House is not done developing yet. Who knows? if he keeps working on that step back, he could turn into Harden Jr.

Rivers, Faried and shumpert are not getting any better, so i highly doubt we're going to pay them more than the minimum. maybe a little more? there will be other bargain basement discounts just like them next year, so why pay more? Also we might lose eric gordon after next year, so we need young talent.

House has those young legs to play heavy minutes and also does well in transition. i think we have to pay him over rivers. unless we get someone else instead of house off another team... kelly oubre? i'd love to get beverley back but he seems to hate houston.

Would be very dumb not to match his contract, after he plays an integral role on a championship team.

No reason we shouldn't see a starting 5 of CP, James, House, PJ, and Capela for the next 3 plus years.
