He’s a lotto ticket, like Thabeet with much less of an opportunity cost. I give him as little a chance of panning out as any of the other haters on here, but who knows. Worse-looking shooters have learned to shoot in NBA history (Shawn Marion anyone?).
I don't know but I'm sure there weren't Marcus Morris highlight videos when he scores 2 points in a game Zhou made 3 of 21 3 pointers against summer league competition and personally witnessed this, so you know if I come to Clutchfans and people are raving about his 3 point shooting, it doesn't match reality of what I saw. Then you get people asking why he's not playing the post etc, aka they don't watch the Rockets and know how this offense works. Simmons main role is not jacking up 3s. So far , Zhou's role in summer league and the NBA are the same on the offensive side, it's to jack up 3s.

Zhou attempted 6 three pointers in the NBA. He's being told by the coaches to shoot 3s and never was an excellent three point shooter. Some players go for 0-6 in a single game. If Zgou makes the next 4 he's be at 40%. Hating on a rookie because he missed 6 threes in 3-4 games lmao. How lame can you get?

What does the level of competition have to do with whether or not he can make an open/contested three-point shot? These factors may affect it though: the length of the 3-point line in the NBA is further out than the FIBA/CBA line, the pace/schedule, and most importantly: he has never been known as a 3-point shooter. Take that for facts, granite, or fool's gold. CBA Makes-Attempts per game: '16-17: .5-1.2 '15-'16: .2-.4 '14-'15: 0.0-.3 Now let the inane drivel commence once again. Just wish him the best. Maybe his 3-point shot can develop half as well as Clint Capela's FT% after he missed his first 15 or so.
