http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/morey-on-woj-podcast.284767/#post-11269963 In the Woj interview, Morey says to close the gap with GS, he'll have to keep taking risks and make moves that may not, on the surface, make sense. What could such a move be? I am thinking he might pull a Lowry with Eric Gordon and/or Capela, trading a capable player for some sort of strangely protected future pick, hoping to cash that pick in for a star player, who may or may not materialize. Another guess: Maybe he will actually trade for a traditional big guy, contrary to the small ball reputation of the team.
Rafer Alston for Kyle Lowry was a head scratcher at the time. Jim Jackson for David Wesley also seemed like a lateral move that seemed to pay dividends.
There's not a single move we can make that would make us competitive with the Warriors. Durant being a cuck destroyed the parity of the league for the next five years. All we can hope for is he falls down a flight of stairs in May so we have a shot at an upset.
Actually trading Anderson to Portland (I mean Melo said he isn't going there) and trading Capela for an aging but good big and a pick.
Ryan Anderson for Dwayne Wade. However, the trade doesn't work in the Trade Machine. I think it's busted right now though.
He will sign another undersized power forward Or he may bring Jerry Lin and DoMO back as unconventional moves
Morey will make a move for another All American US national team player who is washed up but can still ball for limited minutes.
I'm afraid that the most head scratching move, that will be a huge risk and most media and fans will want Morey's head for it will be to move Capela in a Melo deal. I know i will hate it. But I also know he will want to be paid a lot next summer and IF we have some kind of plan to get Lebron next year we will have to set the ground for it.
I think it has to do with his flexibility philosophy he is so absolutely attached too. I think we started to see it with giving Nene 4 yrs(although it had to get ratified to 3), Tucker got 4 yrs. Rumors of reddick to have received 4 but changed at last second. I believe we are willing to give cp3 the full Max in the next off-season. I think we will continue to shell out future picks for upgrades.
