What does Harden need to do to win over the casual fans?

    After today's game, Harden vitriol is everywhere. Every highlight vid, thread etc. It makes me irrationally angry that Harden is gaining a reputation as an inefficient, "only scores on fouls," ballhog player. Dude is playing amazingly and has for years. He has had no off court dramas, no front office dramas, no major locker room dramas.

    He briefly got people to give him some respect when he hit the game-winner over the warriors. Is it only a ring that will redeem him in their eyes or is it that he's so good he has a lot of haters? I just hate a lot of casual fans who barely watch him play say "he's boring to watch," "he's manipulating the rules" "if he didn't shoot FTs he'd average 20"

    What does the man have to do?

    I don't think Harden needs to make any changes. He's done well enough and doesn't care what casual fans think.

    Stop caring about people who don’t care about the rockets

    I only care about winning a championship
    We haven’t won in over twenty years

    We didn’t care if knicks fans or spurs fans thought their dude was better than dream

    We only cared about us

    And if you care more about non rockets fans than you might be one

    Championship is the only thing that will shut them up. Beat the Warriors and win the ring.

    Even then he will still have his haters but that's his best opportunity

    Until he plays at the same level in the playoffs they aren’t going to give him his credit. Outside of the people who just hate him there are some fans who give him his just due but say he can’t be trusted in the playoffs.

    Besides that I don’t know why you guys even entertain the trolls. The answer to everything great he does will always be the same. Regular season, traveling, fouls

    Casual fans do go from a camp to another. They are loyal to no cause.

    So no player can do nothing incl. Harden.

    we do not need casual fans! those MFers only chase whoever is trending.
    Harden doesn't need to change shxt. us real fans appreciate the greatness we are witnessing. there won't be a second Harden not even close for years to come.
