RW has been hitting his jump shots lately, that’s the only reason I’m skeptical. He’s going to to regress to the mean from last year which is 30% from the field and 20% from 3

No I think you misunderstood what a basketball player should do on the court. Chris Paul could have been a mute in 2017-2018 and we still would have ended up in the WCF up 3-2 against the warriors.

Chris Paul was brought in 99% because we needed someone to take 50% of the ball handling duties away from Harden. When Harden goes through his weird slump in the playoffs, Chris Paul took over and shat all over the Jazz, and then shimmied all over Curry.

Last year Chris Paul could no longer get us baskets or even run the offense effectively on his own, that's why we weren't as good and he was shipped out.

All that leadership crap is hogwash, you don't need to pay someone 40 million dollars to be an on court cheer leader.

That 17-18 team was the only championship caliber team we’ve had since Hakeem was here.

The way I see it, WB keeps the Harden era window open a couple of years longer than CP3.

Stars aren’t beating the doors down to come play with Harden. We took what we could get. Hopefully it’s enough.

No he wasn’t. Harden was bad the first couple games of the season we wouldn’t have won the first couple with out Russ. Harden loss is the first game

This is what I tell myself for the first 3 1/2 quarters... but in the final minutes of games, I want the ball in Harden's hands, and I want Westbrook's decision making opportunities to be simple and minimized. In crunch time, with James I ride, and with Russ I die.

I'd take Crowder before anybody. That would seal the deal to me. Tucker & Crowder can guard 1-5 and are both tough as nails

Crowder is overrated defender and is 6'6 with 6'9 wingspan.

Rockets need a longer 4/5, preferably 6'8 plus with 7'0 plus wingspan.

He was shooting worse than Corey Brewer and turning it over like crazy. He was terrible and was a negative almost every game from where I'm standing. He's really turned it around and I'd assume his knee is feeling stronger. But you can't change my mind. I saw what I saw and the shooting percentages can't be changed. They were abysmal.

Westbrook already has as many 20+ point games than chris paul had all last year

I was pro trade from the get go because I could envision the pace being cranked up but mostly because the bond between James and Russ is like brothers. They know it’s now or never and can set aside their egos for the greater good. Look at the last few games that Russ has it going Harden has willingly played less dominant role when Russ has it going and vice versa.

More 40 point games than CP3 too I bet.

Schroeder is outplaying Paul with Thunder now too. Great player but no longer dominant.

    Russ is still dominant.

Peeps already forgetting the first 5 games. Harden was dreadful to start the season.

True. But Crowder is essentially another PJ. The Rockets are trying to play smallball & can do it w/ Crowder & PJ

You guys should watch these OKC thunder games. It isn't about CP3 being dominate, CP3 is playing his role as ultimate PG while SGA and Dennis do all the heavy lifting.

CP3 is probably healthy right now because he isn't requited to work his hamstrings for whole games.

Points isn't everything. We should all know that watching basketball. Just because Russ is scoring more is no indication he is playing better than CP3.

Not disparaging Russ or CP3 I'm just saying.

Yeah, but last year we desperately needed someone who could simply take over a game offensively with harden when he was on, and also when he wasn't.

Too many times last year it was harden or bust, and when harden was off, we were looking around wondering who could pick up the slack, and just put the ball in the hole.

Too many times cp3 simply wasnt able to take over a game. He physically wasnt able to. Sometimes we need a guy who could give us 20-30 points over an "efficient" 15 points and passes to some scrubs that brick. The best rockets team was the one where chris paul was simply scoring the ball.

Cp3 is awesome for a 3rd option but we needed a little bit more from a 2nd option, espeically one making $40 million a year.

problem with cp3 is he thinks hes boss. Of course hes a stud out there but just not as good as westbrook, westbrook is just explosvie, and can take over a game unlike paul. Thou paul can take a team and do something with the players, and score when needed. I rather have westbrook superstar game on my team than old man paul, maybe 10 years ago paul would be great here. Thing is westbrook might have maybe 2-3 years left in him, why rockets got to really push this team come playoffs. Window is 2-3 years .

Call me crazy, but I think having a guy that can go off for 40 or 50 points in the playoffs is going to help.
