This is not what happened. The widely spread gif of Lin using the marker was AFTER the game winner, and they were clearly talking about defending Wizards' possession with .7 seconds on the clock.

When can we actually ever give credit to the coaching staff? I would guess that both the first play that resulted in the foul and the second one that resulted in the game winner were frequently practiced plays for end of game situations.

I have to say it's nice to see Dwight so happy in Houston.

Haha, that wasn't a foul. Harden dragged Ariza with a hook. Thx for the highlight! We stole that win!

I believe you are right. Harden hooked Ariza's hand and drug him as he fell down making look like a push:eek:. It is hard to see until you watch it a few times. Major props for Harden. That was truly a masterpiece.

Harden most certainly did hook Ariza.

Late game situations like these call for dirty tactics. Every team does them, if you don't you get left behind. In most of the end game plays, the defense will hold, push and bump players to get them out of their rhythm. Only the most egregious fouls get called and even then it's 50/50. It is unfortunate that this is how the game ends but NO ONE, not fans, coaches, management or players want games decided by a whistle. It is what it is and players will do whatever they can to gain an advantage, and because of that I salute you James Harden, masterful game ending plays!!

Awesome play! Love seeing how the play changed from before the Ariza foul with Lin curling and after the foul with Lin faking a curl and backing off. Great "veteran play" from Howard on Wall. Harden with great agility in avoiding a charge into a defender and getting the shot off. After the shot, even if Harden missed, Howard was in great position to tip it in.

Best of all. "FEAR THE BEARD... AHHHHHH... FEAR THE BEARD!" Love teammates supporting and celebrating one another's success.

You aren't gonna get that call with 4 seconds left.

Take a look at it again. The score is displayed and it's 113-112 which was the final score. Harden had already scored and the Rockets were preparing to play defense for the final 0.7 of the game.

I feel bad for Ariza :\

He would be sick off the bench for us.
