Ok, since most of you live deep in the heart of Texas, I'm sure most of you don't give a crap about hockey. [IMG] So, what NHL player has the record for most Stanley Cups won, with 11? (Hint: it a'int Gretz)

Oh, and whats the capital of Burkina Faso?

RM95 - your very close, it was the Rockets'(Maurice Richard) brother, "The Pocket Rocket", Henri Richard. I'm sure someone like Popeye, Johny Rocket or some other NHL fan on board would have eventually got it, but since you came so close, I must give you some props.

Incidentally, Henri Richard also played his entire career with Montreal from the mid-'50s to the mid '70s.

"Where did the phrase, mind your Ps and Qs come from"

Actually, that is a great question because of the historical relevance to clutchcity.

exactly 100 years before the advent of the internet, Knoxville, Illinois pioneered advanced community communication by starting the very first bulletin board system by tacking a posting sheet to a telephone pole in the town center for Posts and Questions. As you can imagine, proper etiquette in posting quickly became necessary to prevent scribblings and general abuse of posting paper. One of the most frequent posters was non other than the great grandmother of our very own Mango.

    her sig????

Umm...That is not what I heard as the answer.

Should I give you my version, or wait and see if someone else knows?

    Mind your P's and Q's

There are several "origins" for the phrase... the two I know about are the following :

    1) I was once told that it had to do with the pubs that used to keep track of customers purchases in pints and quarts. If the customer got too drunk to keep track of exactly how much he had drunk, the bartender may have tacked on a few more than he really bought without the customer knowing.

    2) Kids learning how to write the alphabet often got confused with the lower-case "p" and the lower-case "q". Teachers would get on their cases by saying "mind your p's and q's".

DoD is close to version I heard:

In the late 1800's, British pubs were a lot rougher place to hang out than they are now. Beer was served in these pubs in either pint or quart glasses. Whenever the patrons would get out of hand, the bartender would yell "Mind your pints and quarts!", which evolved into "mind your p's and q's", a phrase that means to behave and act respectable.

I like theory #1. But the Mango story of mine is more plausible.

So, DoD, we need a question from you...like "Twinkies weren't always a snack food. What was their original purpose."
