I can’t believe Morey let this slip past him and not acquire him for Ryno and 17 future first rounders!

Nice going, LeBron. Sure, the Lakers could eventually land Kawhi, but everyone assumed they'd have Paul George by now and look how that turned out. He could wind up being stuck in LA playing a bunch of a young guys and overpaid veterans and losing in the first and second round for the remainder of his prime.

Raptors will probably rebuild next season, Lowry and Ibaka will be expiring anyway.

I can see the Spurs saying "pack your bags because you are heading to Canada....or you can still sign this max deal."

This probably helps the logo too, next summer he might sign Kawhi since the Lakers won't be able to offer more money.

Both teams lose in this deal. Spurs needed someone younger or a top unprotected lotto pick.

I don't know. This sounds like a done deal. I can't imagine Pop wants to deal with Kawhi's drama anymore.

Feel bad for DeRozan. He actually loved being a Raptor and they traded him for a one year rental who might not even play that year.

Actually it's quite the opposite. If Kawhi is that fixated on going to LA, then Lakers has much more incentive to not trade for him. If Lakers aren't packaging a trade for him now why would they trade him before the deadline?

Raptors are betting that they could pull a PG13 on this but they also forgetting the situation between PG and Kawhi are different.

At the very least Raptors get themselves some cap space to offer next summer FA should Kawhi walks.

Yeah yeah...enough with this. Toronto is one of the biggest, most cosmopolitan and best quality of life cities in North America.
It's about time they leave behind their small market complex.

Invalid point. Masai would never give him one even if he had 12 years of service.
