Players currently in the league. 1. Devin Harris - your game becomes a caricature when you flop on every play 2. Manu Ginobili - one of the great dramatists, mixes in the ref-staring 3. Anderson Varejao - he wants $12m a year to flop up a storm. what a joke. 4. Raja Bell - is he out there for the sole purpose of flopping? 5. Derek Fisher - if I had a dime for every time Fish went sprawling and then got up and re-adjusted his head band... Honorable mention: Nocioni, Scola, Oberto, and every other Argentinian. The whole Mavs team, Bruce Bowen (although he's the King of all-around dirty). AI, Rip Hamilton, Kobe...etc. Opinions? -Finalsbound
Can't argue much with the top 5 but you don't have ANY Jazz players? As much as I hate to admit it, Boozer and Williams don't really flop (or I don't notice), but the rest of them...wow . Yeah Argentinian's flop way too much. That's the only thing I hate about Ginobody. That and all the complaining. But seriously someone should crown Devin Harris Sir Flopsalot. If you're going to rank them in order Manu absolutely has to be at the top of the list. To paraphrase something Bill Simmons once wrote that says it all, "It's getting to the point that Manu could rear end somebody, fall out of the car, stand up, throw his arms in the air and act like it's the other person's fault".
I caught the last half of the 4th quarter last night between Dallas and Golden State and Devin Harris literally flopped on every offensive possession. There may be better floppers in the league, but nobody seems to do it as frequently as Harris. God help him if the league ever does institute a technical foul penalty for flopping. The opposing team will score 300 points.
For me, Ben Wallace is number one. Devin Harris is kinda understandable, he's the size of a 12-year-old girl. It doesn't take much contact to knock him around. But watching a roided-up Ben Wallace flop when little guards come close to him makes me sick. I was at a game where he flopped when Moochie Norris bumped into him.
Love him or hate him, I don't agree that Bowen is a big flopper, neither is Kobe. As for AI and RIP, I assume you mean offensively that they exaggerate the body contact.
Battier and Hayes take legitimate charges. They don't flop. Those charges hurt. FB gave Scola an honorable mention.
There is no way the opposing team does not notice either. I can't wait for someone to get fed up and make the flop legitimate.
last night when harris tried to flop and get davis his 6th foul which led to a davis steal and a dirk foul it was hillarious. he was on the ground crying for the foul and went over to the ref you can just see that the ref just say "he hit the ball and then you fell down there was no way you could fall down like that" basically calling harris out on his flop. avery was next to them and he just started laughing and walked away he knew harris flopped on the play. i hate harris so much
