is this judge Tony Weeks who gave the fight to GSP the same Tony Weeks that is a referee in boxing fights?
I had GSP winning but would have accepted Hendricks. As others have mentioned, to be the man you have to BEAT the man. Hendricks couldn't seal the deal and his activity fell off quickly. Having said that, it always bugs me when two guys fight and you can see that if the rules dictated that the fight would not end until one guy quit or was KO'd and the guy who was clearly going to eventually lose wins by a decision.
I agree and I don't blame him. If I was a fight promoter, I will never bring any championship fights to Las Vegas and the state of Nevada. No more MMA and Boxing in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be the beginning of the end for having big world title fights in the corrupt town. Yes, you're right.
They should bring all of those fights over here. Texas' sterling reputation for nonpartisan decision making in combat sports makes for a great alternative to Las Vegas. I'll get Paul Malignaggi to be the first signature on the petition.
Thought Hendricks won, but I could do without the, "I'm the real champion," stuff. see - Gus/Edgar after they got robbed.
One of the main problems Dana White has is that the NAC boxing judges aren't trained much in the UFC intricacies. UFC probably should just get their own judges...not sure how that meshes with getting shows approved state-by-state.
