Lately, whenever Jordan Hill enters into a game, I feel a sense of dread. A dark feeling that something horrible is likely to happen to the Rockets. Am I the only one? Is Jordan Hill my personal dread-bringer or is he the dread-bringer for us all?
ATM my dread players are Brooks/Scola/Hill, have no confidence in any of them. Budinger was that way for awhile, but he's the least of our problems at this point.
Only tonight did I feel this way. However, my patience is growing thin with him. Very inconsistent or maybe that's just who he is. Or am I expecting too much? Not sure. Frustrating to say the least.
Fully agree on Hill, particularly when his coming in means Hayes is checking out. It never ceases to amaze me how big Chuck plays and how so very small Hill plays. Hill can do things no other Rocket can... he just doesn't.
Our team as a whole sucks. When the ball is tipped against tall & Athletic teams I feel a sense of dread.
Too true. I'm trying to think of a player with that hairstyle who was a very good defender. Sadly, the best I can think of Brian Grant in his prime.
My sense of dread begins when the fsn theme plays and Bill Worell says "Hi and welcome to etc etc etc"
Ronnie Turiaf ain't bad, but he's no Brian Grant in his prime. Rasheed Wallace I believe had hair like that for a bit. Or was that Busta Rhymes...I can't remember. Seriously.
The source of your sense of dread is this: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=198461 The guy has been consistently contributing to losing all season long. A clear case of addition by subtraction by the trade deadline this year, hopefully.
This whole team is dreadful, asscheeks, and whatever else you want to call what is on the floor playing for the Rockets right now.
Get hand up when you contest a shot, box the freak out when you are eyeing a rebound, pass the ball when you see someone cutting with a clear path to the basket...stop being dreadful when you are in trade rumors.
word i mean seriously would it kill the dude to put your massive arse arms up when guarding someone?? along with problems of taking his eyes off the ball all the time, what really eeerks me is those fadeaway shots...fading away even when he's wide open.
This. Every year the fanbase has to have a scapegoat though. Truth is with this team no one is really consistent. Scola and Martin are our most consistent players and they both refuse to play defense so meh.
He is the dread-bringer for us all. I get the same feeling of something is going to go wrong when Brooks, Buddinger and Miller is on the court as well. A couple of nice passes and nailing some threes doesnt make up for all the disasters nad abominations that come along with them as well.
