It’s a good thing we don’t have to face bad teams in the playoffs.

I guess we along with the Warriors and Bucks won't be winning any titles this year with their losses to the Suns...

If you're great against good teams, then people say the most important thing is beating bad teams. If you're great at beating bad teams, then people say the most important thing is beating good teams.

If you're a great team, you lose about 2 out of every 10 games (to win 65 games). You're never going to win all your games against bad teams. So let's say every 10 games you lose to 1 good team and 1 bad team.

Wouldn't you then come back and say "oh we lost to 5-6 bad teams, we're bullshit"?

This is not a 65-win roster. Since dropping Melo, we've been playing at the winning rate of a 55-win team despite injuries to Nene, Capela, Paul and Gordon and having to plug in an offensively inept Rivers and a defensively inept Faried. We've won 12 of our last 14. One against a motivated Warriors squad and one against the lowly Grizzlies on the 2nd night of a back to back while resting Gordon.

We're probably fine. Let's call it a minor alert signal and move on.

Capela does need to step up.

I look at his defensive stance, one on one, and he has already let his man know where his body weight is. He places one hand on the offensive players back, when he should do what Harden or PJ does, which is body the man up and stand your ground.

So if a win means nothing, what does a loss mean?

Playoffs are full of bad teams so we're doomed.

Didn't GSW recently lose to the Grizz just before WE did?
So, by this logic, we're on the same par with GSW. Good to know

Aldridge is old, but he is still better than Capela.
How about starting Faried instead of Tucker?

Lose to Spurs = 5 seed at the end.

I feel like I've said this too many times to my friends. They kept getting upset at our loses to bad teams as if it was a sign of us having no chance to win a ring. Sure, we should destroy some of these teams, but our record against the top teams is so much more meaningful than the ones against the bottom (seems like a "duh" statement).

That's not to say it's not frustrating losing to opponents when we are favorites. But, it's not a big indication of how we will fair in the playoffs. No one in the West is looking forward to playing us.

Disagree a bit, a win is a win, and even crap teams can beat championship teams on any given night. They are after all professionals, and it doesnt mean the champ team isnt ultimately better.

To me, all that matters right now is the standings, the playoffs, and a distant third is Harden's MVP (which he absolutely deserves).

A W against San Antonio only really needs to mean one thing... we won and stay 3rd in the West. Other than that, wins dont prove anything and games only lead to abused media narrative. It can be annoying hearing what talking heads say about us, but we can just turn the volume down and wait for the playoffs.... where we really see what we're made of. No more "resting players" and stupid BS, just go out with your best guys, play to your strengths and adapt to the opponent.

    We can beat anyone.

The problem is just that we have to do it.

    :)

In all seriousness, we need to place in top 3 seeding wise to avoid gsw. Especially in the 2nd round. The 4/5 spot will play the #1 seed which most likely is gsw. These games are huge.
