https://soaringdownsouth.com/2017/06/29/millsap-sign-trade-lamarcus-aldridge/ Was reading this. Found it interesting.
Come on send us LMA, do it for Texas. Houston is the 2017-2018 version of the Alamo against The warriors, SA can relate
I don't want soft ass LMA around here if he's so unhappy being the 2nd option in SA and the Spurs are already looking to get rid of him 2 years into his contract then that says a lot about him
true all that... but we're in 'all-in - swing for the bleachers - up our risk factor - mode'....lol we traded for 32yr old duplicate position player, trying to obtain 1 yr rentals, trying to get MDA's bff Melo... and nobody in the org is sayin nothin about game 6... so wtf... I mean is LMA really 'crossing the line'? lol
He's super unhappy according to his agent. He came in to be the man in SA, but they didn't allow him to play and dominate like he did in Portland. He also isn't too thrilled with Pops. He can be had, but I don't think his game is great for us. Jon Simmons...gimme dat though!
No thanks. One of the best part of Chris Paul coming here is Spurs missed out on him and they wanted him and them being stuck with that mentally weak Aldridge guy. Pops should have dined with Paul like he did with Aldridge. I bet he was planning to once free agency kicked off.
I mean, what does he expect? He's in his 30's now and he's always been basically the Western Conference version of Chris Bosh. Aint nobody looking at him and thinking "Hmmm yeah, we need to feature this guy and run the offense through him". Nope.
From my NY connect: Take it with a grain of salt because it's still to early and Dolan plays hard ball, but word is He's coMing. Part of it is being away from LaLa...but this seem fairly legitimate. Don't shoot the messenger. Morey is doing work. I'm more excited for the smaller pieces. We still need an enforcer, and don't count out California for that. Talked to Ne the other day. Plans on getting an offer once this all worked out. He's dealing with a family crisis, so that's the priority. Also, just for you jokesters, he reads Clutchfans. I love it....but the criticism and praise helps his work ethic to do better on the court. Last piece I'm hearing is that our Kid may have to be moved in order to secure a bigger star. I know that can hurt, but we're in it to win now. Seeenver. We'll see. Ears change daily. Cyber is Batman...I'm the guy behind the scenes.... Goodnight and be happy. Good things are coming. BiG things, hopefully to keep things calM and rEL7xed
You want a guy who doesn't want to play for the Spurs? He's probably the main reason Chris Paul didn't go there.
Thank you for these golden nuggets. Edit: And tell Nene I introduced hoops to Brazilians in town who know nothing about hoops but like the Rockets now because of him.
I was a big fan of LaMarcus when he was with the Blazers. He and Lillard were a tough pairing to guard. He seemed to lack physicality in his stint with San Antonio. If he was able to bring back the great shot creation from his days in Portland then he would be a solid pickup at what I assume would be a cheaper trade than Millsap.
