I believe most of next year's free agents would remain with their present teams. This is the reason that it is a big gamble to think that the team can rebuild via the free agency. There are other factors that would make stars leave their respective teams.

Wade stated today that he would leave if the Heat aren't title contenders.

That is who we need to go after.

LBJ was just probably saying this as a recruiting pitch. I still think its make it to the finals or finals win or else he's gone.

"LeBron definitely said it, but until he signs the contract it doesn't mean much."

lets see how lebron can play with shaq who needs a ton of the spot light. plus shaq is 37 and will be 38 before the season starts, and they don't have a pf anymore.

Technically, he did say that but you are taking it out of context.

    From the same article:

"Trevor asked LeBron if he would be in Cleveland after next season," the source said. "And LeBron said, 'I'll be there. Of course, I'll be there.'"

"He thought it was just a recruiting tool," the source said. "LeBron definitely said it, but until he signs the contract it doesn't mean much."

So yeah he did but you never know with money and fame.

The thing that I care more fore is the part that speaks about how Adelman promised him the Rockets would feature him offensively while the Cavaliers refused to guarantee him a starting job.

Now at first yes he will have a starting job with injuries and such but if tmac should come back well and playing as good as ever(not that that is what I think) then will he replace shane? What if we trade tmac for a better 2? I wouldn't be happy if I was promised a starting job when our roster is very unstable at the moment and then I didn't have that promised starting job later on

Anybody else curious to see how the hell this is possible? I mean, I like Ariza and all but featuring him offensively?

If Lebron was going to stay, why doesn't he sign an extension?

    Yes sir. 30, 5, 7.5 and 2.2 steals at nearly 50 % fg

If you're going to throw 100 million at a player in this economy, it better be Wade or LBJ. Bosh isn't worth that much.

'feature' is not synonymous with 'focal point'. It's just saying that he would have a given role in the offense rather than being unsure of whether he will play or not.

I would love for Wade to come to Houston. While I was living in Florida, I became a bigger fan of his especially the year they won only 15 games the entire year. He could have easily packed it in but fought and played hard. I like the Heat but let's hope they don't do well causing him to leave and play here.
