Hehe.. I don't think what Smush Parker says is relevant.. but I would agree with him in Kobe not being as good of a teammate as he is today when Smush played with him.

Was Wade a good teammate? Heat paid Smush 4m for 2 years, and couldn't tolerate him after 2 months, they waived him due to his bad attitude.

Smush had his career years in LA, over 10ppg for both seasons. Maybe Kobe's alpha mate personality is annoying. But apparently Smush himself is the problem.

Who cares what Parker has to say?

I am more interested in hearing what Stanislav Medvedenko has to say on this subject.

    All he said was...

"Playing for the Lakers was an overrated experience"
"The problems with the Lakers begins and ends with Kobe Bryant"
"The problems I had was not with Phil Jackson, it was with Kobe Bryant"
"Everybody thinks that playing with Kobe Bryant is the best thing since sliced bread, when it's not."

    ...and that's it.

Well, Kobe was one of the top players that were voted "Least Player you'd like to play with" by NBA players. It shouldn't really be surprising.

I hope he realizes that Kobe helped him look like a decent PG, and likely made him more money.

being the 1 for the lakers has got to be one of the easiest jobs in the league, all you have to do is pass the ball to 24 or gasol and wait for an open shot and play some d. don't know why smush is complaining, a millionaire whiner.

    true that.

once Smush left the Lakers, when there is no Kobe to cover for him, he could not even make an NBA roster.

Does Atkins even get any minutes? Where does he play anyways? Smush is out of the league isn't he?

How can these people say anything? As much as people hate Mr. Bryant, it isn't his fault that they suck at basketball. When you guys play pickup games, don't you guys get mad at people who suck but front like they can play the game?

Chucky Atkins played quite a bit the one season he was with the Lakers. He had the fortitude to speak up while still playing there and, IIRC, what he said was a lot more direct about Kobe than this stuff.

When Smush played there, they didn't have Gasol. He was probably complaining because his only job was to pass the ball to number 24 and watch him dribble for 20 seconds before shooting, then get blamed when the Lakers lose by Kobe and by the media.
