He led the league by a rather big margin. He shot 33% at home, and led the league on the road. I don't see a significant stat there other than he led the league by a big margin in one.

I'm not sure why you're not understanding this. Ryan Anderson is clearly the only Rocket who we have statistically significant evidence struggles with his shot at TC. We have no statistically significant evidence of any other player who shares these same struggles. IF Ryno benefits from a lighting change (which who knows if he will), then great! You have not supplied any evidence that adjusting our lighting will make our opponents shoot better.

Maybe we could just get Ryno some of these...

Not sure x-ray could help. Those VR goggles might be more promising. Change the background of the basket and backboard seems a reasonable fix IF the problem is indeed arena related.

Likewise you haven’t proven that altering the setting around Toyota Center would improve Ryan Anderson’s 3P%.

I think Ryan is just pressing at Toyota Center....as Durant does at Staples

    35.4% (3P%)......(23–65)

    Ryan Anderson vs MSG

    @ Knicks......4 games

Yes, I was also thinking that “if” it is a color blind “or” depth perception thing.

Those yellow night vision glasses (goggles) from the dollar store

I don’t see why not. He should seriously consider giving it a go. Antoine Carr would love it

That's why I said in the OP that it's just an idea, to try something and see if it would help. If he has trouble shooting with a red background, then why not try and eliminate the red background? I'm not aware of any other players having this issue, although there may be a handful.

Seems to me that those numbers are an improvement over his percentage at home last year and this year. Also, Philadelphia has the stage lighting too.

Here is a little something from reddit

    http://rebrn.com/re/oc-ryan-andersons-shooting-struggles-at-home-a-result-of-his-col-3271153/

Note line 21 thru 23 where Ryan seems the rim as closer than it appears. I said he was front rimming
his shots at Toyota Center and just needs to add a little more umph to his shots. Adjust.

As a former shooter that doesn’t struggle with color blindness.....if you dim the lights in the back ground
behind the rim. I’m shooting lights out. I prefer Curry shooting under 40% (39.6% @ TC since 13/14),
Durant shooting under 40% (39.1% @ TC since 13/14), Kemba Walker shooting under 40% from 3
    (36.4% @ TC since 13/14), Korver shooting under 40% from 3 (25% @TC since 13/14), Lillard
    shooting under 40% from 3 (26.5% @ TC since 13/14), Draymond Green shooting under 40% from 3
    (32.3% @ TC since 13/14).

I’m not a fan of changing the surroundings of the court for one man. Ryan is shooting 29% from 3
    currently and 33% from 3 @ TC last year. 35.4% @Staples since 13/14 and 38% @ MSG since 13/14.
So does changing the surroundings increase Ryans shooting from 3 at TC 3%-6% points? Bringing his
% this year 6% to 35% from 3 at TC or up 10% to 39%?

Again as a shooter I’m telling you that you are creating a shooter friendly setting that may help improve
    Curry 6-10 % points as well (45%-49% @ TC)
Durant as well (45-49% @ TC)
Kemba as well (41%-46% @ TC)
Korver as well (35%-40% @ TC)
Lillard as well (31%-36% @ TC)
Draymond as well (37%-42% @ TC)

Redick may go up from 43.5 to 49-54% @ TC)
Beal may go up from 41.6% to 47%-52% @ TC)

Or everybody could go down. As I said the variable are always changing.....there are no constants.
I like the experiment of dark poster board cards held by fans in the back ground. The Rockets
have several home games now in a row. I would like to see if Ryan shot a higher percentage from
3 at the TC. Would it be 40% plus, or equal to last year of 33%

The facts are clear Ryan anderson should come of the bench at home .... It reverses the effects of road rhyno starting .
