team usa is going to destroy argentina without their arsenal of top players.

    this game will get ugly.

I don't think this would be a very accurate game to judge Scola. With Scola as the only primary scorer within this depleted argentinian team, Team USA is bound to double team him and I anticipate him to struggle because of that.

I hope we don't have some knee-jerk reactions coming from this game, because he will never be a 1st/2nd scorer on our team and hence he will never see the same defensive intensity that he is about to see today.

I hope he does not try to overdo it and get injured, becasue he is probably the only qualified starter on his team.

With the help defense of perimeter players like Kobe or Lebron, it could be a TO show... lol

Scola's game vs. Team USA, last year:

He fouled out and played 21 minutes. 19 pts (9/16 2pts, 1/2 ft), 5 rbs.

    In Team USA:

    Wade - 32 pts, 3 rbs.

    James - 22 pts, 9 rbs, 7 as.

    Carmelo - 15 pts, 5 rbs.

    E. Brand -11 pts, 6 rbs.

If I were the coach, I would bench Scola tonight.
We need him well rested for saturday´s game.
After all, the goal here is to qualify for the Olympics and nothing else.

    Ok I understand

    What about the game:

I don't think there is a team that can beat USA in that championships. Argentina looks good but in my eyes they do not have big chances for the win. They have Scola, Delfino but there is no Ginobili. USA is unstopable, they're like a winnin'-machine. In my opinion USA will win but it can be very close game, probably the closest game of the championships

    GO USA (GO SCOLA) :)

think everyone here is an agreement that USA will win this game and the championships.. and it may not even be close..

but if argentina has its full roster then thats a different story

The Argie Bargies don't need Ginobli I think their experience will see them through.

don't get too over confident, argentina plays team ball. with ginobili, nocioni, hermann, and oberto, along with scola and delfino, that is a strong team to contend with.
