Everybody keeps sayin he's gettin the max and therefor the argument that he's just using us as leverage is stupid.... I'm thinking a max contract for CP3 would put us on the hook for paying a 35-36 year old CP3 like 42-43M for that last year... lol
Houston for system appeal + freedom within it (maybe Nash makes an appearance at our meeting?), staff familiarity (D'Antoni, Lucas II), current star power (Harden) and potential to increase star power, superior rotational pieces (particularly EG and Capela).
Nice sentiment... but if I'm burning for a ring... Pops/Kawhi > MDA/Harden.... and SA has a better supporting cast imo... They just dismantled us in the playoffs... without 2 starters.... we have potential and they're getting older... but I gotta believe SA is the better bet if I'm CP3....
The more I think about it, the more I think George is unlikely. Plus, there's a chance they'd be trading for a one-year rental. I'm beginning to buy into Blake being the best option. Paul likely isn't coming here, and his skill set is too similar to Harden's. Ditto for Lowry, who's an inferior player to Paul anyway. And Millsap isn't good enough to be a No. 2 on a contender in addition to already being 32. I also love Gallo's skills and think he'd be a great fit, but like Millsap, he's not good enough to make the Rockets contenders either. Blake is a gamble because of the injuries. But he's still an elite No. 2, his skills would fill a lot of Houston's holes (rebounding, interior scoring) and he's still relatively young. Couple that with the fact that he's got prior experience playing with Gordon, and I think he'd be a really great fit here.
We'll see. I mean at the end of the day I am 100% confident Chris Paul doesn't end up here; you'll say he was seriously considering us and maybe his no. 2, I'll say it was never as serious as depicted and in the end we'll never actually know. All that matters is where he ends up, and I say its LA if you say its Houston and we'll see in a month. No beef, I wish you end up being right.
Good gawd... A full 4 year max? That's 37 million per year for 4 years sounds very painful. On the other hand, Anderson's contract looks like a steal! And a S&T for Milsap on that type of deal would be impossible BTW.
Lol he's not going to SacTown anyway...and i don't believe they will pay him, why would they? DOesn't make any sense for both parts...Minnie makes sense, but if they're trying to trade Rubio to me it's because they want a pg, i'd say Holiday or Hill, more than Millsap...Denver is more credible to me.
Max contract for Millsap? No thanks. I rather trust the process than to be stuck with a 36 year old Millsap making $37 mil.
Sac does a lot of stupid things. I would say min/sac might be willing to take Anderson of our hands if they can't convince Millsap to go to their team. Crossing my fingers that Millsap chooses Denver out of those 3 teams.
Meh. If you're gonna pay Chris Paul, not sure you're really worried about salary in 3-4 years. (Both are 32)
Yeah, fair enough, even though starting with the Cousins trade they actually did a decent job with their moves so...we'll see i guess.
