Do you know who I wouldn't mind? Marcus Thornton. When he played he gave us some pretty damn good minutes. Just a 4th guard to get a few buckets when the offense stalls and we need to rest Harden or Gordon. Harden/Paul/Gordon/Thornton...
I liked Thornton quite a bit even though his defense was bad. He had a great quick release shot. But, there seemed to be some underlying chemistry issues with the team. Maybe even with Harden. Somehow he got in the doghouse.
Yeah man something was definitely up. He was playing pretty damn well when he got dog housed. Still, I'd love to see him with D'Antoni as opposed to the old McHale/Dwight Rockets. Hard to imagine someone being a problem here with all these Vets.
Canaan is so damn lucky to get this opportunity. If he can't produce here with James Harden and Mike D'Antoni, he will be out of the league in a blink.
It doesn't mention anything about starting, although I wouldn't mind getting Gordon back to the bench so he can bring life back to that group offensively.
Thornton is unlikely to ever be a Rocket again. There were a lot of issues in the locker room and with the coaching and front office.
No, he is going to get those minutes when Harden sits. So the lineup would be Canaan and Gordon in the backcourt instead of Jackson & Gordon. 12 or so minutes ideally.
