    4 first rounders AND the salary to match Butler, so Gordon + filler... It’s a lot but I trust Morey. He wants to win with CP3 and Harden so that gives us 4 years. Signing Butler to the max is a must. 4 years of Harden/Paul/Butler would be fun to watch.

    I think you do this given the next two drafts will be horrible and cp3 and to an extent Harden are aging.

    I don't know if I agree with this.

    It's not 4 straight #1 picks...its every other year till 2025. Given what our team projects to do over the next 7 years, what kind of picks are we giving up here? #20 or worse for the first 2 right? Plus we keep Tucker and Gordon.....

    You shed knights contracts?

    Knight and chriss is enough salary and we are less than a week away from being able to package them together.

    This years 1st is trash and practically a 2. One of the 1sts is to shed knights contract.

    So its 2 very distant 1sts to acquire butler that becomes troublesome. But as we've seen morey will right the ship.

    You add butler without losing a single core rotation player. That is a ludicrously strong team.

    You resign him to a 4 year max because it's more than he can get anywhere else.

    Jumping to conclusions based on the CURRENT situation.
    I'm fine with it.
    Knowing Morey. Those second two picks at least will be heavily protected. Lottery at least. And have something like if they don't convey they turn into 2nd rounders. Which Morey will have stockpiles of by then (because.. he's f*down Morey).
    We have like a 3 year window to win with CP3 and Harden. If they've locked up Butler for at least that time your looking at late unprotected 1st round picks.

    For Butler?

    Hells yeah.

    But I think about it as what would I do if I own a team and arena is empty and ratings will drop if they are not already dropping. and season didn't started the way expected
