Eddie Griffin certainly doesn't belong on this list.
The comedy of errors? On the court, Eddie was one of the best rebounders and shot blockers in the NBA, and he showed flashes of being a stretch PF before those were even a neccessity. His downfall was far from comedy, it was a tragedy.

how can anyone forget about clarence weatherspoon?
does that mean yall forgot about brent price or matt maloney? you better not.

i did not know brandon wright is a scoring threat. i must have missed the stretch in his career where he avg 20/10.
looks like clint's gonna lose his starting job soon. make way for wright cuz he can score the heck out of that ball.

Sure he does. Matt Maloney was a solid contributor to one of the only Houston teams that was able to beat the Seattle Supersonics.
If you want to go that route, don't forget when Gundy brought Oakley to town for 7 games and a quick paycheck. As far as Wright, I haven't followed him all that closely, but he was very, very good in North Carolina but, to me, always seemed to be one of those guys who didn't quite transition to the NBA all that well. He still has some athleticism and should be worlds better than Anderson on defense, but he's not a perimeter threat and only a slightly below average free throw shooter. I don't know that he's what people around here seem to be hyping him up to be, but he is, in my opinion, worth a look as an alternative to Anderson. I just hope that people understand that we will still need Anderson's contributions, however. Even still, I think that we'll all be glad with what he brings to the table. The team is better with players like him over giving the likes of Zhou Qi minutes. At least a unit with Wright in the lineup should be solid enough to hold leads. If he adds defense, then that's a major plus.

    Eddie Johnson at the buzzer?

    Admittedly, it's been a while.

Been a long time member and rarely post. Some of these names are bringing back hilarious memories. I still can’t believe we wore these pajamas as uniforms

That team was the opposite of deep. IIRC Kevin Willis was older than Dream.

Extending that Sonics series paved the way to what happened in Utah.

Wow. I admit that's really tough to beat, but I'll give it a shot. Tito Maddox, Royce White, Zan Tabak, Pete Chilcutt, and Mark Bryant.

I'm telling y'all, once we have a championship caliber team the free agents are gonna flock here.

And now they already have. Imagine when we get LeBron....

Back in 2002 when I joined this BBS, I could watch a very few games of the rockets because international broadcasting wasn't as near as it was today. I dunno, maybe I watched 5 games of EG but to me that was enough to see the raw talent EG had.

I remember even in games like NBA Live 2003 EG had all four "icons" of being good In dunking, defending, blocking and 3s.

Too bad he didn't had the right brain outside of the lines. RIP
