Rockets have zero chance vs the Lakers, David Stern, and 3 referees on Wednesday

Especially if the Jazz win in the early night game.
NO team in the NBA would win this game vs the Lakers. Do you know how much media coverage the Lakers are gonna get with this win?

David Stern wants it that way. All the talk will be about how they weren't even making the playoffs, to now getting 7th seed, and not having to face the Thunder and how good of a chance they have against the Spurs. Not to mention how they did it without Kobe. Media coverage, media coverage, media coverage... NBA needs it and Stern knows it. It's already been written in the books.

My guess is Asik, Harden, or Lin get in early foul trouble of course and it blows the game wide open for Lakers and they win in a blowout so the conspiracy doesn't look so obvious.
It's either that or they shoot another 50+ free throws in a close game where the Rockets are clearly the better team (ie-Warriors game)

That's basicly what will happen unless we hit those threes aka the x factor.

Really doubt there is a conspiracy going on. Just gonna be a hard game. Winnable but the Rockets won't be favored mostly because it's on the road.

Mostly it's about whether the Rockets team show up ready to play. They didn't need any "referee help" losing to the Suns.

It's pathetic how every team's fans think they are going to get screwed by Stern or Joey Crawford. Lakers fans even think Stern and Crawford have it out for them.

Well the NBA would prefer a Laker victory because the Lakers would be in.....and you would also have Harden vs. OKC and they could focus on that whole story line.

That being said....I think we lose in a close one.

Nah, even if it weren't the Rockets on Wednesday, I'd be preaching the same thing.

NO team would have a chance to beat the Lakers in this kind of game

While I don't believe in conspiracies I do believe it is in the leagues best interest to have the Lakers make the playoffs. Now whether or not this results in referees swallowing their whistles remains to be see. All I know is that if this game is officiated like the recent grizzlies or warriors game the league will take a LOT of flack from fans.

But there's a chance that if the Jazz lose, which would automatically secure a spot for the Lakers, then Stern will want to show the World that the Lakers get no special treatment, and will have the Refs call a fair game or give calls in our favor. Plus, a first round match up of the Lakers-OKC would get huge ratings, compared to a Lakers-Spurs series.
