    3.5 million for 4 years?

That means less than 1 million per year?

Great signing. 4 year deal with the last two seasons at the Rockets options is brilliant.

Well 900,000 for dorsey and 3 mill for landry.

Thats 3,900,000, and the MLE is 5.5 million.

We have 1.6 million left for Deke

yes but that would put the rockets over the LT which they aren't willing to do. they need to move someone from the third string (hayes, steve, head) in order to move far enough under the LT to sign deke.

I thought we were already over LT. Also, don't Bobcats need a PF? Why not a combination of Head and Hayes for 2nd rounder? Could be a low-risk, low-cost move for the Bobcats.

Rockets have until mid season deadline to get the cap situation straight and sign Deke. They have plenty of time.

Since we gave LLE to Barry we have to use MLE to sign Dorsey because he's a 2nd rounder.

We're already over the tax. I think we should just sign Deke and maneuver later.

They already are over the LT with Landry - Dorsey just puts them further over - and Deke will send them even further of course. Deke can sign with vet min money and not use the rest of the mle - though that won't matter on the LT thing.

I'm surprised his agent agreed to have the last two years be team option. If Joey blows up, he'd certainly love to be a free agent instead of locked in. If he stinks, the rox will just decline those options anyway, leaving him with no pay. This is, essentially, a two year commitment from the rocket's perspective.

If he blows up I hope he doesn't pull a Boozer, being that Boozer is his favorite player too.

If he does blow up I hope we trade Landry and Head together for another decent back up PG for Rafer and have the money to resign Deke one last year without being above the LT.

This is if he blows up though.
