Meh, 200K guaranteed isn't a big problem, bet Rockets still keep him incase he's needed for salary in a trade later. Perhaps Rockets will let him earn his 200k first, then waive him and sign him to a 2 way contract. He's a interesting prospect (going off his college numbers), but we don't have any roster space left for him with our current 8 man rotation, and our end of bench squad (Taylor/Qi/Williams/Brown/Oliver).
We are close enough to the hard cap that every amount matters if you think we will need to do anything during the season.
Still don't think 200k is a problem, his contract could be crucial in a trade for Melo. If we combine all of our NG contracts and Onuaku, we can trade for Melo and a 6+ mill contract. So it could allow us to take back a small salary from a 3rd team.
Math wise we could but I don't think we actually could because of the hard cap. You subtract out Ryan and all of the non guaranteeds and then add in Melo and you are only under the hard cap by a few million I think.
I understand we may need him for $-matching purposes, but his summer league performance was closer to $200 than $200K.
Hahaha!!! You guys crack me up sometimes! Nah, I didn't mean any offense by that. I was just trying to clarify, is all. No drama here. Carry on.
Well someone has to be the token white guy cheering from the bench. I think it is a must have for any nba team.
Uthoff is a shooter but game is more versatile than Wiltjer and actually fits teams new philosophy, all non-banana boaters must D and D hard.
