Could there be sealed indictments waiting to be revealed?

 

Why would anyone feel remorse that an investigation uncovered crimes and indicted/convicted rotten people and exposed underhanded dealings? That's something about which we should all be elated.

 

At least it’s over finally over. Manafort and Flynn will go to prison for their crimes. Stone might as well.

13 Russian nationals and 3 Russian companies were indicted and charged with conspiracy against the United States.

12 Russian intelligence agents were indicted and charged with conspiracy against the United States.

Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort, was indicted and plead guilty to 8 charges including working as an unregistered foreign agent, money laundering and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

Manafort’s crimes were committed while he worked for Ukraine's former Russian-backed president, Viktor Yanukovych. Ukrainians overthrew Yanukovych and charged him with high treason, he then fled to Russia.

Konstantin Kilimnik, Manafort’s Russian business associate, was indicted and charged with obstruction of justice during the investigation.

Sam Patten, Republican operative and associate of Manafort, was indicted and plead guilty to working as an unregistered foreign agent. Patten also pled guilty to laundering funds directly from Konstantin Kilimnik (Russian operative) into Donald Trump’s inaugural committee.

 

Not as long as Shifty Schiff is on the job!

The big question is if today was even a remote possibility (that the known indictments were it) and there was potential for a Mueller report that could in any way be spun to say “‘no crimes”... why the hell the Trump and his mob act like complete nut jobs who were guilty as hell obstructing at every turn??

Just wouid make no sense. There’s just so much we don’t know and may never know. Lindsay Graham was right two years ago when he said a special prosecutor was the wrong way to go. A special committee like the 911 commission should have been appointed by Congress because in the end, just having a special prosecutor only focuses on the crimes instead of facts and prevention of another national catastrophe.

To me the facts and election integrity were always more important than just nailing Trump guys with jail time. The only thing we should care about is making sure the next time we cast our votes, they are untampered with.

 

You don't understand. Mueller investigation was to write a report for Congress. There are 3 federal districts (SDNY, Eastern District of Virginia, and Federal District of D.C. that have on going investigations. Those are what Trump should REALLY worry about. Mueller farmed out the rest of the investigations to them.

Most likely nothing beyond what has already come out. Which is fine. The point was to investigate Russian meddling and it found a lot of witches.

Oh I totally agree. Not disputing that. And was smart by Mueller early on to see that he would be fired eventually and the truth was in jeopardy so he played the spread game and seeded many other investigations across the justice system. Brilliant move on his part to secure justice.

I in no way think Trump is out of the woods legally and politically.

But with the central question of collusion, today would indicate Mueller is not charging anyone close to Trump with conspiracy in relation to collusion. Even though everyone knows already about the mountain of circumstantial evidence.

But as you pointed to, the crimes most likely are the things surrounding collusion ... Aka money crimes aka the motive to dangle in collusion.

So to put it in short.... nothing really makes sense here but at least for the short period of time, Trumps propaganda machine will be working overtime to create the illusion of exoneration.

Michael Cohen in his testimony admitted directly to Congress Trump was involved in an active investigation with SDNY. Trump being investigated and Trump Russia in general isn’t going anywhere for some time.
