U said sign and trade initially, not opt-in and trade. Those are 2 very different things. So u think Paul George would do an opt-in and trade to a team that has the cap space to give him a 4 year max right now while not giving up anything of value just so he can get a 5 year max from them next summer?

N if u trade a guy u have his bird rights which allows u to offer him a 5 year max.
U wouldn't. U get the most money in the place u wanna play. Cause by going to l.a. u know it's not about winning. U got l.a. by the balls.lbj ain't going there. So u only have Paul George. They are dying for a star they will over pay

Any of the above. What has PG13 ever done in his career to convince you that he's a good midrange shooter?

His midrange has been underwhelming. Just trying to understand how you are able to know that he's going to all of a sudden become good at it.

Nothing to brag about. Cavs are in a **** whole salary wise. He gets his friends great contracts but his friends aren’t built for the biggest moments. Exactly why everyone always says he doesn’t have help.

This isn't even remotely true. Harden absolutely has a bit of diva attitude and it shows pretty regularly. If he can "play with anyone" we sure af wouldn't have gone 41-41 that last year w Dwight. Clearly Dwight shoulders a lot the blame that year but that 100% flies in the face of your assertion that Harden is as easygoing to play with as anyone in the league, otherwise he would've sucked it up that year for the sake of the team. He isn't, and I don't think he'd willingly hand off this team to Lebron for even one second so let's not kid ourselves.

The problem with that is that it was Dwight who refused to "suck it up" and do what was needed for the sake of the team. He wanted his post ups even though he's terrible at them and the rest of the team wanted him doing PnR which both him and Harden are awesome at. You can't blame Harden for Dwight choosing to be a cancer.

It would be really news if the Rockets were NOT aggressive in pursuing Paul George.

It would be news if they said they weren't going to aggressively pursue Paul George, I kind of doubt that they'll actually pursue him at all.

Pretty much every superstar has a diva attitude but Harden played just fine with Paul and was regularly differing to Paul in the playoffs.

let’s not get on Harden for not making it work with Dwight Howard of all people...Dwight has left every single organization he’s been with on a bad note

watch him start causing issues in Charlotte next season...

I don't know why we are hellbent on getting George.

He doesn't strike me as the type of player that wants to win now. He wants to be in the spotlight. I think he made up his mind a few years ago that he wants to go to LA, regardless of the talent around him.

i wouldn't call it differing. thats just cp3 being an elite player and taking it upon himself if needed.

Can't really see PG coming here. This is just my opinion but he seems like the kind of player that's ok with being on a mediocre team as long as he's getting the max AND living in LA.

Meaning if lbj, leonard, or boogie didn't go there he'd still chose to play with the Lakers knowing that team isn't going anywhere just as long as he has the other two (money and being able to live in LA).

It's plain and simple. To win a championship next year Houston is going to be your best choice granted you can't swing some deal to get 3 stars on the Lakers like a pg,lbj, and leonard. Not sold on boogie after his injury.

No doubt and anyone who argues with that statement is crazy - but he's also 6 years older than George and George has proven that he can accept a secondary role. As amazing as Lebron is I'd still be way more excited about having George paired with Harden for the next 5 years than the one or two years of greatness Lebron may or may not have left in the tank.

LeBron puts us in a stratosphere that's head and shoulders above anything PG can bring. I'm talking about international and pop culture relevance. Even if you get that for 2 years, it's worth moving mountains to make it happen.
